Pixar have been around for more than 20 years, although it was only in the last decade or so when they started to do feature films. Their first effort, Toy Story was funny and groundbreaking, and is a definate favourite of mine, although not their best.
What I like about Pixar's films is that although a lot of them are comedy, they entertain without having to resort to stupid jokes every minute. They actually have a story with serious elements.

If you had to pick one Pixar film as your favourite, what would it be?
Mine would have to be Toy Story 2. I find it funnier and more epic than its predecessor, and has that 'sly entertainment' factor that I felt Pixar somewhat lost over the years. In second place would be the recent (and slightly underrated) Rataouille, because it has this 'feel-good' factor and evokes not only the emotions, but the stomach too.

Monsters, Inc.

It's original, funny yet heartwarming. You can't resist Sulley and Mike  , especially Boo.

Incredibles was a close second for me, just because it took the whole "heroes" thing to a higher level in a Disney movie.

Ah, Finding Nemo... Dory was amusing, yes, but I didn't really find it that good. Kinda a loose plotline.

I think it's somewhat underrated because it was given a lackluster review at Ultimate Disney, not to mention all the people who go on the IMDB boards and start to bash it.

I know about the bashers, but don't the Ratatouille fans outnumber the Ratatouille haters?

Good point, although Disney do not seem to care about it much - where's the two-disc Special Edition that Pixar films used to have?

Ratatouille hands down, maybe even the greatest animated Disney film of all-time, it was that legendary!

Besides, all movies on IMDB that have an 8.0 or higher have message boards that are 20% threads that bash the film, with thread titles like "Most overrated movie ever!!" and "WORST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN". I just saw a lot of those for "Return of the King", "Holy Grail", and "Citizen Kane" (haven't watched that film yet). Ratatouille is no less underrated than Citizen Kane and Holy Grail.

I guess I'll leave the IMDB message boards for good due to the above reason.

My current Pixar films order:
1) Ratatouille
2) Bug's Life
3)Finding Nemo
4)Toy Story films
5)The Incredibles
6) Monsters Inc.
7) Cars
