Sorry to take your time... I'm just in the mood to complain at the moment.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have wanted a golden retriever. Finally about a week ago I was about to adopt one, (he was perfect, his name was rusty and he was awesome) but at the last second my mom freaked out and changed her mind. She absolutely hates dogs, for no apparent reason. she's a cat person. (No offense to cat lovers) but I hate cats. We have three right now.

I'm so depressed right now! I need a dog!

So any way I just felt the need to vent a bit and get it out.

...hmmm ...this is a little problem ...one of my best friends has the same problem,luckily all my family love dogs and I have two boxer at home but for your mum...you can try to tell her that you want a lot a dog but maybe this way isn't the best...or you can try to make some little favours or some little works for your mother, sometimes it works. And for the cats problem, if you take a dog when he's puppy, he will lives with cats and he will accustom, and an adult dog, you can try to teach him that he never hates cats!!!

Aww, it's a shame that you couldn't get Rusty. ;; Goldens are such awesome dogs.

Anyway, I suppose that as long as you live with your mother, you have to abide by her rules. I know this isn't what you want to hear (and I personally wouldn't be able to STAND being without a dog) but it isn't fair on her if you bug her about it.
Is there any way you could do some volunteer work at an animal shelter, or walk neighbourhood dogs?
