Nala's eyes

Has anyone else noticed that they go from aquamarine to blue?,here's a pic from the first movie.

I checked Google images for a pic that had Nala with blue eyes,but was unable to find one.

In The Lion King 2 it was a coloring mistake to color Nala's eyes Blue,
but during the first movie her eyes actually stayed consistent. The lighting changed.

im guessing it depends on how the light hits her eyes. thats why they change.

I like her eyes in that aquamarine color better. it makes her look more young.

personally i belive, that my dear nala *huggies nala* had interchaging eyes. Green, at daybreak and a hazy green/blue in darkness. See i have no pics to back up, but look at the reference, as a cub she DID have green eyes, but as she grew older, her eyes darkened. It's more of a grey hinted navyblue/ green color if you ask me. But to the point, to me Nala was a green eyed lioness, and should have stayed like that in TLK2 but meh *shrugs* im not the movie maker. and by the way aquamarine is a lighter shade of blue dwindle with some hints of green, and her eyes carreid more green then blue, only in TKL2 did her eyes loose that greener touch.

I noticed that too, in TLK 1 they were the normal green colour (yes even at night, it's just the light change).

See? Still green, just darker.

But in TLK 2 she has blue eyes.

TLK 3 or 1 1/2 it's back to green.

I'm pretty sure Nala's eyes are meant to be the pale green colour and not blue, animators/colourers for TLK 2 just got it a bit wrong.

We could just chalk it up to anthropomorphism - that is applying human traits to non-humans - and Nala is a fairly anthropomorphic lion (human thoughts, personality, etc - just as all the other non-human characters mentioned on the site), and human eye colors change all the time. ^^
