Meeh....I didn't really like Blood and Chocolate, but I suppose that's a fault on my part. Annette Curtis Klause has a knack for appealing mostly to females in her books, and some of the thoughts and actions portrayed in the book kinda made me a little iffy. It wasn't necessarily the minor sex scenes, but literally, people were just dogs in the story -- especially all the guys. Isn't Gabriel like.... 20 years older than Vivian?
Just to further this case, I tried to read another of Annette's books, the SILVER KISS, which is a vampire book. And I stand corrected. Most of the story is internal monologue, and no action. I can see why any girl would like Annette's materials, but I just don't fall in the target market.

I've read all three of her books, and they all differ greatly between each other. Alien Secrets has less thinking and more of the doing than Blood & Chocolate and The Silver Kiss. Contributing to the topic: The next book I plan to read is the Twilight series and a book called The Silver Wolf. Both of which are about (or, at least have) werewolves.

Oooh. Finally a topic about werewolf books. I've read every book mentioned here save for Twilight and Bad Moonlight - just haven't found any R.L. Stine books around lately ;_; Least Favorite: Wolf's Trap by W. D. Gagliani. It's got adult themes, so be warned. I hate hate hate hate it. It makes Blood and Chocolate tame. The writing is horrible. Horrible horrible horrible. If you see it on the shelf, leave it there. It is baaaad. Favorite: Bitten by Kelley Armstrong and its following: Stolen, and Broken. It's a 1st person POV, but I got hooked after reading it. It takes place in Eastern North America, has some adult themes, but I love the pack orientation. Elena is a realistic character dealing with an unrealistic situation. It's part of the 'Women of the Otherworld' series, of which I still need to get my paws on the rest of. I also enjoy the Kitty series, and am waiting on the next installment
