I couldn't find any topics about this so... In a band? Sing solo? Post here.
If you sing or are in a band, post what music you play, what instrument you play, etc. Or if you have a video of you or your band you can post that too.
I'm in a band. We didn't do much, like we are a rock band, and we just started playing like last summer. I sang, didn't know how to play an instrument, so now I take guitar lessons. Our drummer left, to we are dead now. XD We'll probably start the band again next year or this summer, we'll need to find a drummer.
So, what about you?

A family band...unfortunately.
Dad's at rhythm guitar, big brother's at lead guitar, I'm at bass guitar, and little brother (who's 14) is at drums. Our lead guitar's usually off at college, so we're usually discouraged by that. Everyone thinks I should be singer because in proportion to everyone else in our measly group, I'm the best singer. But that still means I stink. XD I just can't stand my dad's singing. Lol. Due to our lack of practice, we're still beginners, and are very much in need of some synchronization. We mostly play (or try to play) songs by the Beatles and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Some of the things we (attempt to) play are:
On the Road Again I Wanna Hold Your Hand She Loves You Eight Days a Week Baby, it's You Nowhere Man Have You Ever Seen the Rain Who'll Stop the Rain, and Proud Mary

I have an Ibanez Electric Guitar but don't know how to play it. I'm also into Progressive Rock and can play a very poor imitation of RUSH's Neil Peart. My current drum set up... Three rack toms. Two floor toms. One Bass drum. One snare drum. Three Rototoms and only two cymbols. (Not counting a Hi-Hat. I have one of those)

We have a potential vocalist in a friend my brother knows from school. Still need a lead guitarist and a drummer. Only suggested potential band names so far are Gamma Ray Burst and Resurrected Phoenix. Which name do you think is better Hmm...I think you should go with Gamma Ray Burst.

I'd love to be but no-one ever wants a female vocalist around here =/ Which sucks since I'm on a music course at college, lol! The guys are all so talented on their instruments and they can play multiple instruments most of them, I'm just a one trick pony really. Gonna start getting someclassical training for my voice 'cause I've only ever had a few singing lessons so I figured I could do with it now, lol. I'd love to perform music similar to Nightwish's eventually. More towards the older stuff though. Not that I don't like their new stuff of course =D (I'm just rambling now, I'll shut up, lol)

I'm part of a local scene (drummers represent!) around where a lot of famous bands have come from so that sets the bar a bit. I would LOVE to drum professionally, like as a living, but of course, my parents are putting a huge stopper on that. My twin's the vocalist/bassist, and my friend (AND the only guy in the band) is lead guitar, and my other friend is just rythmn guitar. I sing backing vocals sometimes too.

And yeah, dang parents, its our life and we'll do what we want with it. And to wildwolf10--Yeah, it's no fun if you get pushed into it and people think they own you. trust me, I know the feeling. White_wolf_princess--Totally! Whats wrong with a female vocalist?! Our talent is wasted by men. But you're off to a good start. Singing lessons are a fantastic idea even if you can already sing well.

Good thing i don't sing, but me and our vocalist quit a band because of the female thing coming up. Just sing and take your vocal lessons! And sign me an autograph when you're all famous and what-not!
