I think it depends on the content of the movie more than how it is conveyed. Certain movies work best in a given medium. For example, it is hard to imagine some of the great animated classics such as Balto or LBT in live action. On the other hand, some good live-action movies would probably stink if they were animated.

Animation done right (Good 2D, like Lady and the Tramp) will always top the other options for me!

It depends on the concept that the filmmakers have in mind. Take Balto for example. Yes, it is based on a true story but it's also meant to be a funny and exciting adventure. If it was done with real huskies you'd have to computer-animate their lips so they can talk. In my opinion, I find 'real-life talking animal' films unbearably cheesy, aside from Pride.

It depends on the movie...a movie like Finding Nemo or Shrek or Lion King wouldn't have looked right as a live action movie but on the other hand Lord of the Rings or Eight Below wouldn't have looked right as an animated movie.

That's basically what I said.

I agree. I like both so I chose "Uh pressure!" don't ask why... :drunken: but I prefure Real Life Movies, because you get to see the actors, and not just hear them.

Yeah. On the other hand, I'll bet Bambi would have stunk in live-action.

Animation!! I love drawings...that's probably why, I guess. But there are some real life movies that I'd watch over a few certain animated movies.

I went for animation, whilst I do like live movies a lot (who doesnt) It's the animation that took the prize for me, saw more of em as a kid and I felt that most of them portrayed really good stories... even though that was their purpose as "family entertainment films." I obviously watch way more live movies as there's loads more out there and being made over animation films. Also nearly all animation movies I own are on video and are about a decade old so they have a nice value to me as it can remind you of the joy of being a kid when you watched these movies
