Fascinating stuff I didn't know! :D Must look through all those pics.

Tintin, I wish you could remember that link! XD

That link is the coolest! I like looking at those sketches. ^^ Judging from the last 5 pics, of Sylvie, and the comparative size charts, apparently Sylvie and Dixie were originally going to be characters in that canceled "Snowballs" project, and then became bit chars in "Balto." I mean, there's nothing of Dixie other than a silhouette in the line up, but there are several really good sketches of Sylvie! :) And a couple sort of funny looking ones. Wowie wow...I'm so curious as to what all that was about..
Very interesting. You can see how much some of them change...and how they design everyone from the main chars to the small-part, random, and background doggies. xD There are some weird-lookin' ones in there I've totally never seen before. Awesome images!

Well there were some other dogs that never saw the light of day again, such as a bulldog inspirational sketch named 'Wild Joe'. Also looks like the White Wolf was meant to be in Snowballs too.

wow great link Letranger, I'd seen those deleted scenes up at the top before but only some of those Snowball construction pages before such as the Star ones and others on the icecave site, although I never saw the ones marked "inspirational Star Sketches" so was very happy to see those, most of them I hadn't seen, cheers for the link

I believe "Snowballs" was just something of a nickname for Balto. I remember reading that there was a reason for that being written on the sheets, and I know what it is, but I don't really know how to word it. I'll edit this post later ^^

Aw, thanks, but I didn't provide that link--Cobalt did. I know, I had never seen all those great sketches before either.

Oh, really, Owned? Hm, interesting. It would make sense. I was wondering how they could've possibly planned to include Balto, Jenna, etc., in a movie about Balto AND a separate film called Snowballs. O.o (Speaking of Jenna, I don't see much of her there, which seems very strange.) And yeah, looks like there were several dogs who got scrapped and were never seen again.
