Every time, or almost every time, some one posts a topic about something that others have different opinions about, people reply with something that make the topic creator feel really bad! It drives me crazy when people do that! Can't they just not reply at all!? The people here on AnimationSource just want to make topics of what they want to know. And what do others do? They trash the topic with " You are so crazy to think that!" or "Gosh, what a stupid person would ask that?!" Sheesh people, back off if you don't need to type good things! That is not to much to ask is it?! One more thing, Every here of the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" in this case "If you don't have anything nice to type, don't type it at all" Nobody ever respects that here very much! One more time, DON'T TYPE RUDE POSTS! Here is an example of a rude topic: Caesles wrote: Does anyone here on AnimationSource feel as if they have aver had an animal spirit inside of them? I do sometimes. I feel as If I have a wolf inside of my heart that makes me want to run and howl like a wolf should. I feel weird to type this because it makes me feel as if I am crazy about that. Does anyone else here feel the same way? I know it seems crazy but I want to know if anyone feels this way anytime in their life? That was a good topic for the person to express themselves! And what do most people on this Forum answer? Caesles wrote: Wow. That seems really crazy that you seem like an animal at times. We all know we are humans, NOT animals. So I think you should delete this topic because it is A) Stupid, B) Not a real thought, and C) Against the laws of physics! So I will PM a moderator right now to delete this or simply lock it! See how people are downright rude! I did not really type this, it is an example just so you know. Here is a good post that will make the person feel better about making the topic for people to reply to. Caesles wrote: This is a great topic Caesles! It seems cool that you feel to have an animal spirit in your heart. I am sure some people feel this way as well. I personally haven't but I understand your feeling. Don't feel bad to express this to your family and friends. I am almost sure that they will understand. And if they call you mental or crazy, you can PM me on how to change their minds. Caesles See, good but you don't feel that way. You don't have to reply rudely. This is a nice way to tell you don't feel that way. Not hard huh? *** So, if anyone think about this topic and understand I would like your opinion about it. And DON'T reply the rude way, please Caesles

You took the words right out of my mouth. More and more often, I see people who post things like 'Your ideas suck' or 'that is not cool!!!! ' I thought forums were places where people were meant to be polite to one another.

People just don't think before they open their mouths. It is, very rude and annoying, true. However, can it be stopped? No. Only the poster can change. If only some freakish miracle came along to where everyone would think before they said something and that everyone would just be nice to everyone...

Well yeah it can be seen as rude but you'd probably get much worse if you actually spoke about it in the street. If someone's posted something rude just use the report system and when a mod comes on they'll see it and either delete the post or edit it.
There's really no point in anyone replying and saying "that's rude!" though because that starts fights. So many times a topic ends up locked because people just can't resist arguing about things when a simple report would have sorted it out quietly and in a friendly way.

I agree on the topic, and your post. I see meany topics where a member has posted maybe a little "Weird" topic (Not saying they are), whom of witch completely follows the rules, tha you get the odd members going "Blah Blah Blah Blah, this is a usless topic and needs to be Locked" and "What on Earth is the point of this stupid topic", it's certainly not on, and when it comes to things like that, I question weather Animation Source is the right place for me.

These people are out to make you feel bad . Just don't say anything to them. I know It can be hard, but they will back off. Fighting back just makes it worse. Animation is full of INSOLENT people.

Quote: Welcome to Animation Source. That is essentially the nature of this forum. It is sad, but it is true. And really, policing of it by the moderators is fairly inconsistent (but for a few - Ultima Wolflux, UK teh white wolfer, and Togo. And lately, especially the first two. The other forum moderators seem to have all but vanished (and yet, they retain their positions...against all logic). And the section mods? Pfff. I've seen nothing which demonstrates active involvement.
Yes, But Swords is active? And Drew has moved and is very busy at the moment. (Quote = Drew on MSN). Anyway, as for the sections mods, the reason you cant see them active, if because they don't stand out. Maybe when I posted my topic before I just didn't look into it enough.

Anyway, as for the sections mods, the reason you cant see them active, if because they don't stand out. xD When Jersey said 'sections mods' he was meaning the Forum section mods.
