I heard that when Disney's 101 Dalmatians was out there was a high de-mand for Dalmatians and later clownfish when finding Nemo was released most people wanted clownfish for pets. does anybody if the demand for wolf-dogs increased when Balto was released? I know it failed at the Box-office but I wonder... :?: :?

I don't know if people actually started to demand Wolfdogs (probably because they are illegal in some states and will not be legalized just because of a movie or high demands) but I will bet you anything that there were a lot of 5 - 10 year olds who begged their parents for Wolfdogs named Balto! Or Malamutes named Steele...or red Huskies named Jenna, lol! The good news though, is that there are some Balto fans out there who have since grown, and actually own their won Wolfdogs just like they had wanted to when the movie came out! I read a post from TBL (the balto league) from a woman who bought a Wolfdog and named him (of course) Balto, and was very, very happy because she had always wanted one!

Haha nice one about the woman naming her wolfdog Balto!

I'd love to own one but I heard they can be quite hard pets to own as they have more wildish tendencies and it's best to be experienced in dog handling if your gunna own one. Plus where i live isnt probably the best place to own a wolfdog hybrid, unless he would like city landscapes and car fumes but I doubt that :P

Good lord, I sure hope not. O.O I'm against wolfdog ownership as it is.

No.. I'd imagine there was a higher demand for huskies.

Everyone wants a husky. ^^
