Has anyone ever seen or heard about these films? Here's the link to the first film in English: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW3aS3x1 ... re=relatedIt's about a young, extremely clever jungle animal called Hugo who is the rarest (and cutest <3 XD) animal of all. But being so rare and cute causes him to get caught by an actress and a movie maker who want to take Hugo to Hollywood and put him in a film. Hugo escapes from them though and ends up on a strange part of the jungle, and finds himself on a banana plantation, and accidentally ends up in a bag and then on a ship which takes him to Hollywood, where he's put in a zoo by the ship cook 'Meatball Charlie'. A sweet streetwise fox named Rita approach his cage, and both become friends quickly. After that, the film maker tries to kidnap him again, and Hugo escapes from the cage and runs wild in the city. After many encounters with humans trying to capture him; he meets Rita again; and both are soon the very best of friends. After that it's about Hugo trying to get home with Rita's help, and avoiding the kidnappers who are trying to put him in their movie. I won't say anything about the 2nd film because it'll spoil the 1st film. XD :3 I have recently got the 1st & 2nd film on DVD; sent all the way from Canada. My mum ordered it for me on the net XD Atlast I have seen both films the whole way through in English. The dubbing isn't wonderful, but you get used to it. :] Replies needed. - Rebel

Torchwood wrote: Heheh, it was really good film. Haven't seen two, and I must admit, the dubs are dreadful, it would have been better with subs. :/ But still, it was good film. I watched it in Dutch on Youtube until the English was put up. Watched it today. Real good Thanks for the link! At last a reply XD And I don't think the dubs are 'dreadful'. But yeah, they could've been better. Glad you enjoyed it though. ^^

XD I'm so glad my spreading the Hugo/Rita cuteness across the web is quickly becoming succesful. >D And I recommend everyone to check out the Danish version aswell, to see how different the voices and animation are. Well...the animation's the same, just darker and in better quality. And lots of stuff has been edited out too, to make it more kid-friendly for American kiddy audiences XD And even if you can't understand Danish, you get a good idea of what's going on. - Rebel

Eeee those movies are so cute ^_^ they make me all fuzzly and warm inside XD
I noticed the styles changed, though - the sequel gives both Hugo and Rita blue eyes where before they were black. Looks pretty on Rita, not so much on Hugo.
Oh, and I thought the sequel was a lot more brighter than the darker themes of the first. Hoo hah.

They had the exact same effect on me. lol And I like the style change, and I love the animation in both films. I love how they made Hugo's ears bigger tho. They make him so freakin cute XD And I agree on the eye thing. And the countryside seemed to be alot lighter than the city XD I loved the city theme more tho, I must say Glad ya enjoyed ^^ >D - Rebel

Gah. Everyone else is watching this . . . which means I should too, right? (XD) I've only seen screenshots and read the summaries for both movies ('cause I like to be spoiled . . . LOL!), but it looks adorable. I've heard it was released in the US on a single DVD with both edited dubs of both films. I should buy it via Amazon.com . . . and then I can make your quote sets for you, BS-R! - Juuchan17

I got the DVD "Hugo The Movie Star", but it had the 1st film on it as a bonus feature. If you'd like screenshots for that, I'd be more than happy to get you some. As I mentioned in your graphix thread, I can take screenshots directly from the DVD's in excellent quality. Tell me if you'd like any via PM And you have to watch the films. Seriously. XDDD - Rebel

(Ordered it on a whim buy after I posted that reply . . . speedy quick, yes?) I watched "Go Hugo Go" last night (I saw a blurred image in one shot on a calendar - it made me Lawl . . . now I know I have to see the unedited original!), and "Hugo the Movie Star" this morning. I really, really like Rita more than Hugo somehow, so beware . . . I'll have tons of Rita and Hugo LUV in the graphics thread! (Heck, I might learn how to make a MV too . . . I saw one of Cat14's Hugo ones on YouTube and I thought it was freakin' hilarious.) It was good. Could have been dubbed better though . . . and an unedited original with subs with have been boss, but meh . . . we'll manage, eh? Either way, it was worth the six dollars. - Juuchan17

And quite a few scenes have been edited out, obviously to make it more kid-friendly for American viewers. And I prefer Hugo to Rita somehow XD He is just so freakin sweet!! And I totally cannot wait, as you prolly guessed. And omg, that would be awesome. Hugo & Rita seriously need more lovin' on YT, and even I'm gonna try and make an MV for them XD And when aren't Cat's non-serious vids hilarious?? XD And yes, I agree with that. It's a real shame the dubbing was pretty bad. I think both Hugo & Rita could've had better and more natural sounding actors, instead of these adults trying to sound like kids. =/ Oh well. I do alot of Rita voice-overing. Once I learn how to use WMM properly, I may post some of the clips on YouTube. Not sure yet. - Rebel
