I KNOW it isn't literally about a cake left out in the rain, but I think "MacArthur Park" by Donna Summer is among the weirdest songs I've ever heard. When I started really paying attention to the lyrics on the radio for the first time, I was like, "WHAT?!" The chorus goes:
"MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down...
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!"

It just sounds so strange, and funny...

Oh my have I heard a lot of weird songs in my life.

Any and every song with words from the Revolutionary Girl Utena series. Every duel song is made of 50% Freud, 50% Random Word gneration and 50% insane.

Most of the songs by Voltaire are eitehr exceedingly weird, or really true, depending on how you see them. It's a fine line with some, like Feathery Wings and Headless Waltz.

REM's "It's the end of the world as we know it" is a fairly random collection of names and images.

Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon" never made sense to me.

I no longer feel confused by "Hotel California" because I can wrap my head around the symbolism. However, it's still weird. Like Styx's "Come sail away."

A lot of metal confuses me. Like Nightwish's songs "Kinslayer", "Wishmaster" and "Crownless."

For weird unusual, Hedningarna's "Raven" (Note: There should be an umlaut over the 'a') which is about a foxwoman, sort of the Laplander equivalent of a kitsune crossed with... Either a vampire, a resulka or a general dancing fairy. Very cool, but such a strange thing to sing about. In a similar vein, Mercedes Lackey's "Snow Magic." The meaning is clear but the plot would be strange to most.

Those? Weird? Nah.

I think a song would have to be very strange for me to think of it as that . I don't know of any strange songs.
