I just found a few songs posted on the band's website from the band's current release "The Crusade" and I love the stuff I've heard so far. this group's sound is very reminisant of old-school Metallica From theMaster, And Justice, Black period and the singer sounds exactly like James Hetfield did in the late 80's and early 90's (1991 - 1994)

and the drummer Travis Smith is one of my favorite Metal drummers currently and with his playing on this record being as solid as was it shouldn't be any surprise why..

Yay I love Trivium^^
"Rain" is the best

I haven't heard much of their music. They're pretty good though.

I plan on getting the new record from FYE on Mon. when I go out mall-hopping and a maybe a few ANGRA records as well depending on the cost and how much $$$ I have available to me.. I still plan on buying my lunch there as well so we'll see..

Their Metallica covers are killer as well.. If you were at a festival and way in the back of the venue you wouldn't even know that it wasn't Metallica playing if they opened a show with a few covers.. the verison of Master Of Puppets they did was INSANE PERFECTION

And I'm also a HUGE thrash metal fan in general seeing as I like are bands like Slayer, Metallica, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God and of course Trivium

this to me is what I call SERIOUS METAL.. not fake metal like most bands are turning out these days..

FIRST OFF: I completely apologize to the Moderators for the Double post.. for good reason though!

WOW! OMFG.. THE CRUSADE IS INCREDIBLE!

I just got the band's New record "The Crusade" and can easily say it's the BEST thrash
metal/speed metal release since Metallica put out "The Black Album" by a LANDSLIDE!

the guitar sound on this record would make Dimebag proud.. all of the guitars on this record were custom 6 and 7 string Dime Razorback models and they are just pure raw thrash metal hell unleashed..

The drumming is like the hammer of thor meets an earthquake X100 and is ROCK solid the entire duration of the record..

The vocals were very very reminisent of mid 80's to early 90's Metallica! they just own. and are just in your face insanity at it's best!

The best songs were "Anthem(We Are The Fire)", "Ignition" and "Entrance Of The Conflagration" and the Title track was the best metal Instrumental since "Stream Of Consciencness" on the "Train Of Thought" album by Dream Theater..

BOTTOM LINE IS THAT TRIVIUM RULES ALL MODERN THRASH BANDS!

Can't wait for the next record now!
