after reading The Golden Compass and it's sequels the idea of a daemon or my soul as an animal was rather appealing to me. As I thought about it more and more I realised they shared alot in common with animal totems or spirit guides. I did alittle reasearch and came across this website http://daemons.envy.nu/index.html
As I read through it I found that daemons do exist but most people aren't aware they even have one or are vaguely aware of their presence. Like has there ever been a time where you were really upset and something in the room fell over for no reason well that was your daemon manifesting itself because of your emotions. They are internal like your conscience you would have to read on that website about it. Or go to wikipedia and type in daemons then scroll to the bottom where the links are and click on the daemon page.
As for my personal opinion I believe that they exist and now I am trying to find her (my daemon is female because they are the opposite sex of the human they belong to)

That website doesn't look very professional. Don't always believe what you read. Some people might call them spirit guides too...

I beileve you,My mother was sick today,And I was extremely upset.All the sudden,there were glittery paw prints in the print room,(I had just come out of there)When I went in to get my things.They werent there the second i had walked out,and glitter containers and glue was spilled over.

I am rather neutral to this. I am a Shamanistic person, so naturally, I believe that every thing in the world has a spirit, so humans having a Dæmon wouldn't be too surprising. Then again, wouldn't we notice it if we had one? I think so.

Everyone has a daemon like I said in the previous post weather your aware of them or not. They know everything about you and everything you done good and bad however they love you unconditionally so no worries

daemons I am finding exist. Now they aren't something that exists outside of your body however they are an internal part of your conscious mind. Yesterday for instance in my minds eye my daemon changed from her panther form into a bird and the funny thing is I didn't influence her to do it. Whether you believe me or not I find the idea comforting to know I have one
