I am dealing with depression and it's ruining my life so can anybody help me?

Is this real depression? or just teenage angst? The former, see a shrink. The latter, stop making silly posts and grow up.

slay! be nice! *grows* I was depressed once two and it really helps to talk to a couciler about it, or else try to listen to hapy music or suround your self with people you love, hang in there!

Sadly, that's the truth. Believe me, depression does suck, I know. But the best thing you can do is to talk to a counselor as Outlaw said. It's really all you can do.

I'm afraid that no one here can help you with depression.

No one here knows you personally and can therefore not see what might be causing such depression. And.. there must be a source. Depression doesn't just come and go like a cold does. A counselor is an option but I know that some people are reluctant to see them. It's probably the best option really.

Just don't do anything stupid. You know what I mean.. nothing is worth that.

I know, but my doctor thinks it just a hormonal phase so it sohuld clear up like in a week or a month.

I do get PM's from time to time from people who wants to talk about their problems, actually. And nothing ever leaves that box. But I wouldn't consider myself a psychiatrist; I'd rather just call myself an anonymous ear. (lol)

In any case; what do you think is causing your depression, jose? Harassing at school? Parents having done something? Girl/Boy you loved left you?
We could understand you better if you told us. But if you don't want to talk openly about it, you could always PM someone (or me, for that matter) and just write. In most cases, everything seems better when you talk about it to someone over the internet (sometimes because of the anynomousness) because if you just keep it to yourself, you'll soon find your mind decaying and crying more and more. You might even become suicidal.

I suggest you contact a professional (in fact, I recommend it) psychiatrist, to be quite honest. And that you do it as quickly as possible. No problems should be fought alone.

I went to my Doctor as well, it's been a year and I still have not felt better about things. One or two, maybe four out of what seems to me...a hundred. I find it helps to find friends who you know won't let you down here. I have. ^^ and I have people who at lest tried to help me.

I see my counselor at school as much as possible. My Dean even gave me a pass to see her...whenever! Because people usually suck here. Don't worry, things will clear up and understand I'm here if you need someone who understands you. ^^

solutions? well i eat chocalate and write down my worries (then rip them up hence getting rid of them)
