So, a few weeks ago I applied to be a puppy walker for a Guide Dog. So did 100+ other people

So, naturally, we felt we didn't have much of a chance.
But still, we arrange for a worker to come and do a house check, meet our two dogs (we thought we'd be rejected because we had two, but it turns out that they just have to be over three years old and not bouncy) and all that.
Well, that was on Tuesday, I believe. But then it gets postponed to Thursday because the worker had the flu. So it turns out she still can't come on Thursday, so we just ask over the phone "Are we getting a puppy or not?" (well, I imagine it sounded more polite then. xD)
Her reply:
Oh yes, you're definitely getting one.I'm so excited! We don't know what breed the pup is, nor its name, just that it's a female. I have a hunch it's a Lab (we put on our application under "breed preferred?" Lab or Golden) so yeah. She's coming on Tuesday, and in NZ time it's Sunday morning... This is taking way too long!
We've set up my dog's old crate, bought some blankets and toys, bowls, grooming stuff, you name it!
So... yay! Just thought I'd share
