As I was surfing the web the other night, I came across this real gem a cartoon series called 'the Boondocks'. Now, a few notes first: it's controversial, mature (language & themes), political and liberal. So basically, if you don't like those, stop reading now. To anyone else: I thought it was the best thing since hot fudge. The ironic, cynical jokes, the often preachy yet pointy themes and the confrontational use of stereotypes, not to mention the outrageous metaphors (check 'A date with the health inspector'), all made it to some hard-hitting cartooning. I even got used to the anime-inspired graphic style, and that doesn't happen often. Anyone else heard of it?
