Togo's facial markings are pretty cool. Do you suppose the animators did Balto's marks in the movie as a nod to Togo? It's a stretch I guess, but the possibility is still there, right?

Hmm... I dunno. In my opinion, no, I don't think so. If they wanted to base Balto's colours to the orginal dogs, I think it would be like Balto himself. Though making him black wouldn't really nod in the direction that he was part-wolf, the colour he is (browny-grey) is a lot more wolfish! But it is of course a possability, you never know!

These are nice photos. I've not scene the first one. How in the world did you get a region 2 DVD, to play in the american DVD player? I though they did'nt work in american players. As for the dog model, this is the dog they used, to model, Balto. Is this what you was looking for? It shows a husky near the end of it. Documentary part 3 TimduruAlso, I would like to share this picture of, Togo's team. (First time this picture has beed viewd by public.) This picture was taken any where from, 1915-1920. It is believed that, Seppala took this photo himself. The location is believed to be at the, Bering sea. click hereInformaion found at an ebay store. ebaystore

I happend to stumble acrost it, on http://www.Google.com I pretty much knew, it was, Togo. JerseyCaptain wrote: That picture comes from the modern-day Poland Springs Kennel. It is a good find, MB! The picture is of Elizabeth Ricker, eastern breeder of Chinooks, a racer, and eventual eastern breeder of Seppala Siberian Sled Dogs (called "Siberian huskies" at the time).
It is Togo of course. The damaged right ear, the markings. Definitely. I'll read the information, on the web page latter. Still, this is intersting. I never knew that, eaither. *takes notes*
