Alright, let's say under some unfortunate circumstance, the site needs to be closed. A number of things can cause this: steet becoming too busy to run it, costs for the server become too high, or other things. Whatever may cause it, I'd like some security. It's embarassing to admit, but I've become really attached to this site and the people on it (and, in a few cases, I've withheld extreme opinionspe for fear of being banned).

I've talked to someone else (someone whom I've had a conflict with!) and that person said that they would go through a state of depression if something changed, and I feel pretty similar. Though we may get on each other's nerves, we're all buddies, right?

I doubt steet's going to stop this gig anytime soon, but the future is always uncertain. Has anyone else thought of this?

I think that I know what you mean. I hate to admit it, but I find that I must stop in, even if for just a few minutes, to see how thing are. There are also a few people I love to keep track of because they always post interesting things. If something were to happen to this site, as annoying as it can get, I would miss it as well.

I've never really thought about that. It would indeed be a big loss for me, and most of my spend time would be gone, so I dunno XD

What kind of security do you mean? Something like, like you said, if Steet couldn't run the site..another person who could?

There are several backups of the data : one done on the server itself, and one that I do each day to my computer (by an automatic task). And on my own hard drives, I make sometimes a backup to dvds. So there shouldn't be a problem with the backups.
If I wouldn't be here for any reason to manage the site, although, I don't think anyone here would have enough programming experience to maintain it, unfortunately. (except for Timduru, my host, which is also pretty busy) So it would probably stay "as is".
We never know, but this shouldn't happen anytime soon though...

i feel that this entire site is one big wolf-cat family. we all respect each other; even though SOME people get on others nerves. i am a proud member of this clearly superior site Xd. i LOVE this site, and i would feel really upset if i couldn't talk with my online-penpalls..

i would never want to leave this site..no matter what.. i would fall into a state of depression as well, along with many others. ( luf rping too.,..)
