I know that some of you might think that this is a useless topic but, I'm just asking, what is with the new fourm
design?

The current layout is going to scare off any newcomers. You pretty much have to be accustomed to the site to know where things are. I hope this isn't permanent.

Well I won't say I wasn't expecting such reactions, but I think you just need to get used to it. It's only different, you're confused only because you know how it was before and need time to get accustomed.
It's also a good thing because the main page of the forums is now much slighter.
On the contrary, I think a newcomer will get used to it more quickly because it's more organized : now he sees "Site", "Balto", "Lion king" sections at first sight => he will choose one, "Balto" for example if that's what he is interested the most. Then he sees "Balto 1", "Balto 2", "Balto 3", "Balto fanart"... => he will visit them according to what interests him. Then he could go back to the main page and visit the other sections.
With the old organisation, you had lots of sections and needed to scroll down a long page to see everything, THAT is confusing.
Plus, you can still access ALL forums directly from the main page if you want to. (by clicking on "Subforums" instead of clicking the section name) It's even quicker this way because you don't have to scroll down to access them. (or a little, depending on your screen resolution)

So it's not temporary then? This is almost as bad as the dream I had last night... I logged on here, and it said Lion King Source forums, with no mention of Balto... good thing it was just a dream  Most forums don't use subforums for every single forum though.

But the fan art forum is now "Balto Fan Art". What about Lion King fan art? Or fan art for another movie? Same for the fanfics, videos etc. etc.
