Of course not, you're not the only one. It's so obvious that I thought everyone would notice it.
I think they did that to make Aleu look more like a wolf.

If you study the Balto 2 pic you can see that his eyes are yellow, it's just a lighter shade of yellow... so light that it looks like his eyes are not yellow.

Re-read your sentence Togo, you'll see that there's something wrong
Anyway, in several scenes of WQ, he has slightly yellow eyes, but it often depends on the lightning.

There may be another reason why Balto's eyes are like that:

The people who made Balto may have thought the his eyes may have been to much yellow, so they tried to lighten up the yellow for Balto 2 but it was to much. Later, when they were making Balto 3 they made his eyes darker but not as dark as in Balto 1.

I say this because if they did make Balto's eyes white in Balto 2, don't you think his eyes would of been white in Balto 3 as well?

I believe they just saw that they made an error (especially that many fans complained about that), or maybe there wasn't just any necessity of making them white since there is no Aleu in B3.

Ya i think the point of making balto's eyes white was to make aleu look like a wolf, instead of a dog.

I think it was that borris made mention that she looked more wolf then balto did, so I think they wanted to empasize it with the eyes, though they could have made his eyes a tad bit more yellow.
