Well I'm planning on Babysitting my friend's younger sister so I've been reading up on it and I was reading about the Safety of the Children. Here's What One Thing Said: Keep Away from Unfriendly Animals(Such as dogs, Or wild animals) Dogs? Unfriendly Animals? XD This makes me laugh and it makes me angry. Why it makes me laugh is because my dogs are Toy Poodles, They're 13 Years old(Pretty old for a Poodle.) And their bark is worse than their bite. And their nails are trimmed. Also this is why it makes me mad: They're basically saying: Dogs are very mean wild animals that are dangerous to us humans. I also laugh at this. :] I understand what they mean though, because a Big Dog(No Offense Owners) Might be a little to rough with a small child. Al though they are sweet dogs, they might not realize that they're being too rough. But I don't think I'd have this problem. Her sister is 6, and way taller than my poodles.

Yes, but my dogs are Used to her, Because My friend comes over now and then, but in the past she came over at least 3 times a month. But I'd be more worried to how the Child treats the animal. I know her sister wouldn't, but another little child might kick the animal around, Punch it, Bite it, and that would cause the injury. Personally I think it's not the animal's fault. Most people would be like, "OMG YOUR SUCH A EVIL DOG!" Then the next day they dump it at the pound, or have it put down. Here's How It Should be: You pick up the child, tend to their wound, scold both the dog and the child(Scold the child for Being mean to the dog, Scold the dog for biting them even though it was their only defense, It isn't okay for them to bite.) Feed the dog, and get on with your life =O Or stop babysitting for that family unless the kid can learn to treat the dog with respect.
I've seen several situations where the dog is being abused by a young child but- The parents don't scold the child, but they get rid of the dog. I Don't think that they looked at the dog's point of view.

Hello, Second chance, Most dogs are friendly, But some aren't. You just have to carful around quite dogs. It's either nervous, scared Or just older. It's not so safe if you go up to any wild animal. It may scratch or bite. This rarely happens, But it has happend. Just keep your eyes open around them. Also, If you take your friend's sister on a walk and if your not comfortable, You can always keep her close and if you go in a forest, You might want to bring a flashlight, Whistle and a big stick. Just use as a safety and hiking stick.
Have fun and don't worry, Wolf girl

Dogs -are- dangerous to a stranger in a way. But strangers should keep away from ANY animal unless the owner says they can go near the animal, because not all dogs are human-friendly.. child-friendly, or dog-friendly or whatever.
The book is right. If you see a dog that you don't know, keep away from it. Simple and plain. That's exactly why people keep getting attacked or bitten from dogs.. Why? Because they think they can go up to some dog they don't know! Not every dog is friendly. Going up to a stray, somebody else's dog, is unsafe. You DONT know the dog .. So, the book is right, keep away from other animals.
I'm sure they don't mean all dogs are wild and dangerous to humans. I'm pretty sure they ment that if you see an animal you never met, then keep away from it, because it is dangerous to willingly go up to a strange animal.
