Okay, this is something that I've been thinking of doing for a while and I finally decided to do it. This is a topic to "interveiw" my characters or myself. If you've ever wanted to ask my characters why they did or didn't do something in my stories, wanted to know their motivations for an action, or just wanted to ask myself a question, now's your chance (please address your questions to the character concerned so I know who to respond as lol). Even if the character has since died, don't fret. I'm on good terms with Aniu, so I'll get them to answer your questions anyway ^^. So, I guess that's all I have... have at it! Oh, and just a quick note on the progress of my stories right quick... Fall of Aniu is sitting on 120 pages and is (I hope) about a week or two from completion. It will be a two parter, with the follow up "Aniu's Children" to be written immeidiatly following the first. For those of you that have read my adult fics "Band's Revenge" and "A Son's Vengance", I have written a prequel, and will post it as soon as I edit it to be acceptable for Baltosource... if you want the full unedited version (WARNING: The fic contains frequent use of strong language and an R rated sexual scene as well as an ENORMOUS amount of violence) Email me at [email protected] and I will send it to you. I have also created a music video and posted it on Youtube. You can find it at this URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlMhTtniNOkThanks are in order to Catwhohas14tails for providing me with the ripped copy of Balto which I used to create this vid. Thanks Cat! -RTW

For Everest, how would you feel if one of your offspring was born incredibly deformed, would you feel guilty about being with Saba? :O
Shadow, how's life in a pack so far? LAWL

For Dash, if you had died instead of Shasta, would you have wanted her to move on with her life and be happy?

Okay, I'm going to let Everest speak first...
Everest: Hey Cat, RTW said you had a question for me... Oh yeah, I would have felt terrible if one of our kids turned out deformed or retarded or something because Saba and I are brother and sister... I knew we shouldn't be together in the first place, that's why I ran away from her... but when she showed up again I couldn't control myself, and well... you've seen the result of that... I've often thought of it, and I suppose there are some regrets there anyway, even though our children turned out alright... It still shouldn't have happened, but yeah, it would have bothered me.
Okay, Shadow, you're up next...
Shadow: Hey Cat! What do I think of living in a pack thus far? I love it! I have to admit I was a little down when I found out Kiona had a love interest already... but then Aniu told me that we were cousins, so I guess that was a good thing. *laughs* but yeah... life in a pack is much easier than living on my own... on my own I had to fend for myself all the time, I had to hunt and whatnot, even if I was sick or injured because there was no one else there to support me... now I have a family to take care of me when I'm down and out... I love my cousin *pauses* ...in the only way a cousin should (I'm not Everest after all *laughs*) but yeah, I enjoy seeing her everyday, and it is now my life's mission to ensure she stays safe... I've never had a family... that I can remember anyways... and it feels really good. Tell Kiona I'm exeedingly greatful to Achak and herself for accepting me so willingly!"
Okay, Dash, you're the last one for now...
Dash: Hello Brown Wolf... wow, that's a heck of a question... yeah, I would've wanted Shasta to move on if it had been me instead of her... just like I would want June to move on if something happened to me now. I mean... it wasn't easy, but I realized I had others to think of besides myself... I mean... I hold an important position within the Talbourne, and a dangerous one too. sometimes it takes me away from home for extended amounts of time, and I had to think of the kids... who would take care of them when I was gone, and who would take care of them if something happened to me... plus children need a mother... *pauses* I... I couldn't provide that for them no matter how hard I tried... If it wasn't for June I would have done something stupid, and left everyone high and dry, Aleu, my unit, my family... I guess the reason we got off so well was because we both lost those close to us I mean... *sniffles* I... I loved Shasta... love her, and I always will... I think if she and Dalchei returned for some reason... well, June and I would split up and go with our true mates... *sniffles again and lowers his head* ...sorry... I... I guess I still get kind of worked up thinking about it... *pauses and takes a deep breath* ...but yeah, I love June too, it's just that Shasta was... was my first love... I'll never forget her, and I wouldn't want to. We shared some great times together... *smiles* I still remember when the pups were born... *sighs* I was so proud of her... and of myself I mean I couldn't beleive that we made something like that... *sniffles again* ...sorry... *laughs softly* I mean I wouldn't want to forget times like that with her... it makes the pain of.... *sniffles* of losing her... bearable... at least... it helps. *sighs* It's... it's good for me to think about her every once and a while, I mean the good times I had with her. So thank you for your question... but yeah, I would have wanted her to move on, both for her sake and the kids'.
Okay, I guess that's all the questions for now. Keep'em comin lol

Rotramel: Have you ever ran into trouble when writing one of your fanfics? Im currently writing a fanfic that's taking a lot longer then I thought, its going on 15 pages and Im not even a quarter of the way through. Unfourtunatly it feels more like a chore to me but I wanna get it done. Have you ever had a bit of trouble when writing or felt slightly lost for words when writing? From your stories I gather 'no' as the answer but I am curious about how you find your own writing process? Saba: How tough is being a pack leader? Especially after following in Aleu's paws???

Okay, Shadow is up first...
Shadow pads up. "Hey Shadowcraft! Good to see you again." He pauses. "So what did I think of Zephyr? Well, at first I was afraid he was going to attack me and Kiona... but when she recognised him and wasn't threatened, I softened up to him pretty quick. Now I consider him a good friend. As far as the rest of the pack... I was afraid they wouldn't accept me because... *sigh* ...because of the danger I put them all in... the fourclans is no one to mess with.. but then Achack isn't either. *laughs softly* At first I really liked Kiona, and I felt kind of devastated when I learned she already had a love interst... but it all worked out for the best because I found out that she was my cousin, so that wouldn't have been good anyway... but yeah, I was scared because I really liked Zephyr and Kiona and Achak, and I was afraid that they wouldn't allow me into their pack because of the danger I presented to them... and they probably shouldn't have.. the conflict with the fourclans is hardly over... if I know them they're just waiting for an oportune time to strike. I'll never forgive myself if one of my new found freinds gets hurt... especially Kiona... I don't know if life would be worth living anymore without her... she's the only family I've got..."
Thanks Shadow. I'm going to let Saba speak next and then I'll answer your question Squival.
Saba walks in the room and sits down. "I don't have a whole lot of time, but RTW said you had a question for me right quick Squival." *listens to the question intently* "Oh yes, that... well, being leader of the Talbourne is like nothing I've ever undertaken... I went from being a pet and having my every need cared for to being a leader and being responsible for every need of everyone around me, much less my own. I'm constantly afraid I'm going to screw up and get someone killed. It hasn't happened yet, but... *sigh* I fear it's only a matter of time until it happens... after all, I can't be perfect... I'm going to mess up... I just don't know how I'm going to deal with it when it happens. *she pauses* "As far as Aleu is concerned well... those are definitely some big shoes to fill, but I'm doing my best. I have the support of my family and my Clan, and Aleu herself has been an invaluable resource. I try not to rely on her too much because... well ultimately the Clan is my responsibility, and I need to be able to lead in her absence... but she has been very supportive and helpful in that." *Dash pads in and whispers something in Saba's ear* "Well, I'm afraid I have to go. Hunters have attacked a sentry near the south entrance. *sigh* Seems like all the humans do is kill us. I understand the wolves hatred for them now... *pauses* "Well anyway, it was nice to meet you squival. Now if you'll excuse me, I must be getting back to the cave. *smiles* ...got a Clan to lead ya know."
Okay, guess I'm next Squival. Yes I have had HORRORS of a time with some of my stories lol. Every writer does. You just have to push through them. Sometimes putting the story down and just relaxing for a few days helps, but take care not to lose your train of thought. I try to read the part of my story I last wrote at least once a day when I'm taking a break, just to keep my mind turning on it. There are some stories that I just had to turn away from too. I've got two half finished stories on my Comp, one of them (Balto: The Race) has over a hundred pages on it... but I just got to a point where I didn't know what to do, I didn't like where the story was taking me, and after about a month of no progress I just abbandoned the idea. It's hard to turn your back on a story you've put so much effort into, but sometimes it'sbest to do it. You can always come back to it at a later date (I plan to finish both of mine. The Race, and Outbreak) and it's good to keep writing. Yes, I have felt like writing is a chore at times... but you just have to force yourself to do it anyway. It might be the time of day that you're choosing to write... I do my best work from about 11pm to 4am... don't know why, but if I write in that block of time I will get vastly more done than otherwise. Try writing when you get up, or right before you go to bed. Also, something I use is a text2speech program. This program reads test on the screen outloud. It's a REALLY monotonic voice and it will put you to sleep quickly, but this is a good thing. I listen to my stories at night. I take the last two to four pages (sometimes the last chapter) that I wrote and put it at the beginning, then just cut and paste the entire work a few times So that it plays in my head while I'm asleep. I usually wake up with new ideas... your mind wroks when you sleep just as much as when you're awake, if not more. You don't have the distractions of the world around you when you're sleeping... if you decide to try this, I reccomend putting a notebook beside your bed, and getting up a tad earlier so you can jot down any ideas you happen to have. Also, I do this excersise when I'm stuck. Write the Character's name and the situation that they're currently posed with. THen all the things you can think of that could happen to that character in that scene. Then just look over your brainstorming and select the action that makes the most sense to your story... also writing key events on Post It notes and hanging them somewhere where they'll be visible when you're writing helps you with your timeline. Well, I hope I've been of a little help. If you still have questions, feel free to ask away! XD Don't worry about bothering me. That's what this thread is for!
Have a good day and God bless!

Balto: Do you ever worry for your kids safety? Or is it something you reassure yourself to not worry about? Aleu, Dash, Melody and others spend a lot of time in the wilderness living with wolves, you yourself know the dangers of the wilderness from your sled dog days so it must be somecause for concern...oh and on that subject, ever miss being a sled dog? Or is the thrill of flying better???
Shadow: Bit of a mean question but if you had to chose between keeping the Talbourne pack safe or Aleu, who would you choose?

Sorry it's been so long since I've been on... USMC calls XD ..that and compjuter problems lol... bjut hopefully they're fixed.\ now XD. So, on to the questions! I'll let Balto talk first....
Balto walks in and curls up on the rug in front of the fire. "Hey, hope you don't mind if I lay down..." *yawns* We just got back from a run to Isaloosa and Jenna told me you were waiting here. "So, do I ever worry for my childlrens safety?" Balto pauses... "...constantly. Yeah, I worry about them all the time. Things in the wild are so much more dangerous than here at home... but they're adults, and I'm quite proud of them. Dash has really taken to his unit... Aleu... well I couldn't... couldn't be more proud of her... Melody... Melody struggles with Timbre's job... she doesn't like to see him in danger... ...so yeah, I worry for them... but they're a good bunch, and the Talbourne is definitely the best Clan out there, so they're well taken care of... as for sleeding versus flying... well sleding is a lot less work!" *laughs* "I do miss the team, and the feeling of running, of leading... but *sigh* I''m not as young as I used to be... I just have to realize that and make adjustments. ...and flying is awesome, I mean... I'm extremely greatful for Luke and his taking me in. You can't imagine the feelings I had when I was finally adopted... it sounds weird even now.. I was a stray for so long... but now I have a home." *smiles* "Well, Jenna told me to meet her in the boiler room after I talked to you, and... well, not that I don't like talking to you, but it's a clod winter night tonight and well... between talking to you or cuddling with Jenna... well sorry, but you don't win on that one." *laughs* "Take care guys, and if you have any more questions I'm always around, give me holler." Balto stands up and walks out of the room.
Shadow's next!
Shadow walks in and sits down. "Hey, RTW said you wanted to talk. "...yeah, that... that is a bit of a mean question ther Squival... if it came down to Aleu or the Talbourne I would choose Aleu hands down. Aleu means more... sorry... meant more to me than anything in the world... I..." Shadow pauses and a tear runs down his face. *sigh* "I still can't... can't believe she's gone... but I... I guess I just have to move on... though... I... I have no idea how to do it..." *sniffle* sorry, I... I should'n't do this now.. I... I don't even know if I can stay in the talbourne... everywhere I look I see her... and.. and there's really nothing to keep me there now... so... I don't know what I'm going to do... but I guess it'll come to me soon... though with Aniu having fallen I don't know that it really matters... we're all kind of doomed anyway... as for how I became leader of the Defense Force... well, that was something Nava started when he found me, and I just took to it. He taught me to fight, and I wound up being really good at it. Anything I learned about fighting or leading was from him... he was a great teacher... when Aleu became Alpha, it became even more important to me that she was protected well, so I just continued it. Now though I wonder if there is any point in it. Can we defend against an all powerful Shade? Should we even try... I don't know...
Now as for me... the inspiration for Fall of Aniu came to me when I realized that Aniu always seemed to just pwn everyone everytime she showed up.. I wanted to show my readers that she wasn't all powerful.. if I continue too far I'm going to give away too much of the next story "Children of Aniu" because the story is far from over... as for the hardest part to write... that woudl definietely be Aleu's death.. I wrote and re-wrote that part at least 20- 30 times... finally I came to what you read... I'm not going to talk too much about that because again, I'll give away CoA but... I will tell you this... trust me XD I have a plan, and though everything seems dark now... remember what Balto told Jenna in Jenna's Journey. "Sometimes you have to go through the darkness to find the light."
Thanks for the questions!

My question is for Tiembe. We know what your relationship with your mother was like, but what about your father? I don't recall you ever mentioning him.
