I was thinking; why couldn't we get a Platinum membership status?
Before you go all this differential thingy, I'll give some good examples of what it is;
1. A Platinum Artist/Writer/FI-artist, can upload his art/fiction/fan images directly to the website, and activate/deactive the art/FF/FI in HIS/HER OWN GALLERY at will. 2. This is only given to members who earns the trust of the mods of the approriate section.
The reason I am proposing this is because of the stress which many mods (and the only fanfictions moderator active in particular) suffer when having to look through the contents the members send it. Implementing such a feature would be a major relief for some of the work, as there are many writers who sens in up to two fics at one time, and even more art from the artists. The work often piles up, and this would make life more livable for the moderators.
Any opinions?

This could be interesting, but how would it work? Would each mod choose who would be "platinum"? In that case, it could not always be very objective. But maybe I would force a minimum number of fanarts / fanfics etc sent before someone could be one.

That is one way to do it; or ONE moderator for each of the sections can pick someone to be nominated, put in a good reason for it, and then the system sends it to you, and you could decide? There are countless ways to solve this.

Quote: Self-moderators, in other words. It could be a good idea, but I think Steet should choose them (the mods can suggest them). No, I wouldn't have time to choose them myself, it would be way too long. But the mods could, it wouldn't take more time than updating their galleries (probably one click).

Well it could belittle them, and make them feel like a bad artist. Well, now that it's put that way, I see your point. I'm getting the feeling that people would get some inferiority complex and go all Marxist on us saying that everyone should be equal, but given the fact that the fanfic and fanart mods are flooded with stuff they need to activate, something like that is kinda necessary. However, I think once we get the point across that those members won't be any more special than other members, other than the fact that they can activate their own fanfics or fanart, I think more people would understand. I'm starting to think that we should change the title to something that seems a little less self-promoting... I think "Platinum" is a little too much.

You mean almost like a subscription on DeviantART?
I kinda like the idea, it'd also give "lesser known" people the chance to get something, you know how people are, if someone got 'platinum' they'd automatically look at their stuff.
I see what you mean by the whole "it's not fair" thing but Steet already gave the fan-arts the new order system, perhaps do the same for the fan creations (if possible) and it'd still be fair. If someone really wanted to be 'platinum' they'd have to prove themselves responsible, i.e. Not begging to be platinum or complaining about why their art, fics etc. aren't faved more.

Claymore wrote: I don't know... Who will control them? Who is trustworthy now has not to be trustworthy the next day. And I think there are mods for this work. We have almost 100% control of art and writings coming to the site... and this would start numbers of flame wars, attacks and stuff. In fact, those members would have 'more power' than some mods. Or... can FA mod accept his or her own fanfic? I don't think so.
So lemme put it this way... would mods get the same advantage like posting their fanfics and FA directly?
And still, I think in certain cases which I am not going to tell, people will upload even stories that break the rules. Yes, even those people who you think are trustworthy. This would be unfair and I see flames like: Why XY's FF was accepted while there are swearings and gore scenes all over it? And response: Well, XY is a platinum member, so XY can do almost everything with their own account.
But if it this rule is accepted, then I propose one thing: A permanent lost of the platinum membership. I mean, once you lost it, you can't gain it back. You're right. But the system will still function like the normal uploads; only Platinum artists can activate it a will, as of which it will be registered in the Fanfic moderating part of the website, where we can monitor the Platinum members and their uploads whenever we wish. So they still have to follow the rules. And it allows moderators to check in every once in a while. And I was thinking about something like your proposal; You only have one chance, and if you blow it, you've lost it forever. This will encourage members to follow the rules, even though it's

Yes, they could still lose that possibility if they don't respect the rules. I'll keep the idea, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to put this into action, as it will require many changes.
