If you are even a little bit of a wolf fan (should I even have to ask on this forum 8) ), then you should most definately check out the anime series "Wolf's Rain" even if you are not an anime buff.

Here is a pic of the main cast:

Not to mention it has one of the best cover art for an OST.

Here is a plot summary as taken from Anime News Network website:

Quote:
Plot Summary: In some distant future, it's common knowledge that all wolves have been extinct for 200 years. However, it seems this is false as wolves have not disappeared but rather have taken human form. Kiba, a lone wolf, wanders into a city, trying to sniff out the Lunar Flowers that are supposed to lead whoever follows the scent to paradise. The source of the smell is Cheza, a girl who sleeps in what appears to be suspended animation in a lab. She and the wolves are drawn to each other, and Kiba hopes to find paradise once he finds the source of the scent of Lunar Flowers. However, once Kiba finds Cheza, she is kidnapped by a mysterious person called Darcia, and his search begins anew. Before he leaves the city, he meets 3 other wolves, Tsume, Hige and Toboe. All four wolves have very different personalities and ideas, and their friendliness towards each other is a little rough around the edges. However, they soon band together to continue to search for paradise.

Please do yourselves a favor and check this treasure out!!! It will make you laugh, cry, and love wolves EVEN more so!

I can understand that, I have a lot of friends who aren't anime buffs, but this is one they will stomach becuase it features wolves. And seemingly they loved it, which opened the door for more possible anime, and thus pull them into it further than they originally had expected to.

Greykitty, as a true wolf fan, you will be doing yourself harm if you dont watch this, or at least give it a chance, who knows, you may enjoy it!!!

well, it was running on cartoon network a while back, but I am pretty sure that it isn't anymore. The whole series should be available on dvd to buy or rent, but then, it depends on your location. It shows up on blockbuster's site though, all 7 volumes, so your best bet would be to try there.

I watched the series when it ran originally so I got used to the japanese voices, but I saw parts of the dubbed english and I was pretty impressed for the most part.

I have seen very little of this show and I loved it.
I would like to see this again but it's difficult to get a hold of the dvd, even by renting.

Nighteyes do you know if theres a different way to see the show?

I believe there must be already a topic on that, but I'm too lazy for searching it...
Well, I have recently seen half of the first episod. It's not really the type of animes I like to watch, I don't like too much the violent, dark and bloody ones. (I prefer by far the comic ones) Although the animation is pretty awesome for something aired on TV.

I tried searching for a topic on this, and there was nothing centered on it, maybe one person making a stray comment here or there, so thats why i created this one.

I dunno what you guys view on torrents are, but I dont seem to find anything in the rules, (Please correct me if im wrong), but you may be able to get a torrent of it from ***edited bad bad site, shame shame :P ***

But like I said, its all on your view on this subject. I have half the series right now bought and I watched the other half via download, but I am getting the rest so I think there is no harm done on my behalf. But if you are planning on buying it, or want to try it without having to commit to buying it yet, then I think getting it via bittorent is the way to go, but its up to you, what i am against is people just torrenting these things and not buying it, regardless of one's excuse of no money yadda yadda yadda.

But then again, I downloaded fansubs of it before it got localized, but it is WORTH viewing in one way or another, wet your whistle with maybe an ep or two, then go and rent/buy the rest, I doubt you will not want to. I want to encourage people to watch this, but i will not consent to theft!

Please...if your going to watch it from then net, then please don't be a puttz about it!

Don't realy like anime style. Single animes I watched when I was little was Sailor Moon that I liked, other I realy didn't cared.
Eventualy I will watch this for test, but as I said, don't like the style of anime, to spiky hairs, to wired faces, to square faces, and tooooo muuuch talking (way to much talking). They do 3 actions and talk and explain 10 times the same thing in 30 minutes.

then give in to the urge, you know you want to ;)

In anycase, one more reason to see it is the music. Yoko Kanno is the bomb. The music fits like a glove, to fill the mood, and such.

If you guys cant get to see the series, at least listen to the music hahaha, i feel it's that good. I am a musician and grew up around classical and didn't start listening to rock and the like for that fact until not so long ago.

Because of this, I have the nasty habit of focusing on a movie's score, or in this case, the anime's score, instead of watching the flick. So sometimes I can be watching an awful movie, but think it is still awesome hold it in high regard becuase of the score.

Brain seepage for you guys...
