(You're all my lab rats. LAWL!! I'd appreciate your answers for a psychology paper I'm working on, but I'm also GENUINELY interested to know...)
Well, you should all be aware that there are countless forms or writing, meant to appeal to a countless variety of people. Poems, essays, novels, and speeches to name a few. And yes, it is a daily activity and routine we all do everyday, but I get the feeling many of us do it without much thought about it.
Why?
Many of you are avid writers. We have many more people who write than draw. What's your reason for doing what you do? Is it because you simply feel you're not good at anything else (no offense; that's part of the reason why I do it. XD)? Is it for the acclaim of having your audience praise your work as a literary masterpiece to rival that of Shakespeare's? Or perhaps it's more of a personal level...? I'm asking you all for your motives. Of course you can't please anyone, but how do you feel about yourself when you sit down with that pen(cil) and sheet of clean paper?
It's a BIG world. How do you think you'll be able to leave your mark on it through writing?
------------------------ [As for me]
I honestly think it'd be a big challenge, but I also firmly believe that the younger you are, the easier it'll be. Although I sometimes can't help it, I really hate to compare myself with other people, because I'm a really easy person to demoralize. XD I know, ish my weakness, you all can go out and take advantage of me now. LOL!! Getting back to the subject...I believe in writing for ME and ME alone. I do it for the satisfaction of looking down at a manuscript and thinking, "Yeah...I did all of that." I share them only for the sake of improving, but other than that, if you don't agree with something, then that's pretty much a fault on your part. Haha!! Anyway, it goes to show that I really want to know what people think AFTER i write a story, so their opinions and ideas don't taint my own...
Yep, that's me....what about you?
