Recently, I've seen a couple of threads (I won't name anyone), "ranting" about different matters, creating discussions and all. Surely, that is a good thing. A good discussion has always been good for people. However, there are certain individuals who openly create discussions, and then start acting like "Everyone who disagree's with me are wrong, and should get the heck out of my thread!"-ish.

Why such an immature behavior? I mean, that's what these discussions are for; sharing opinions, points of view, etc. then discussing them in a MATURE manner. I, personally, have experienced how these individuals react. In fact, at one point, harassing became so bad we actually had to ban an individual (this also added to harassment over PM's, which got screencapped and sent to the moderators).
It's not fun when people create discussions, then chase away people with different opinions than the creator. It's immature, mean and downright embarrassing for the creator him- or herself.


I feel the need to post this, right now because I want to see what you others think, and possibly hear some suggestions of countering this kind of behaviour.

Again, I am getting downright sick of this kind of behaviour. It's immature and downright embarrassing. Not only for yourself, but for the entire BaltoSource community.

You're right,it's immature,and downright embarrassing,I concur with that,why not send the people doing this a warning,and if they keep it up,ban them.

I understand totally. If we are free to rant others are able to comment freely,fair is fair. I guess people just don't get it though. My solution would be to try to divert these people into excepting replies using word trickery and just working around them,but people have differen't thoughts and sometimes they wanna rant to no end and get I agree responses too help them realize they aren't the only ones. My second thing is just to roll your eyes and ignore their behavior or ask them nicely to except others thoughts. If that doesn't work,its not worth sticking around.

Most of the people who do this don't even read through the replies or topic properly as well, which makes it even worse >.<
