Real Lions?

There were real lions when they were filming Lion King 1,and 2,because they had to draw them to resemble realistic looking lions,while they still pertained a cartoon look,also they had to base it on a lions behavior,which is why Scar killed Mufasa.

I couldn't definately say that the events of The Lion King could happen in real life, but I can't say that it' impossible. The world of lions is very different to our own.
The Pridelands are real - they are based on the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. However, the Outlands and Elephant Graveyard do not exist, so the hyenas can roam wherever they please!
