Okay, so me and my family have been searching through the websites of the animal shelters nearby our city for about...two years now, I think. We have applied for different dogs who we thought would suit our home, but the shelters ended up adopting out those dogs to different people who fit the requirements better than us. So last week, I was browsing through 'Petfinder.com' and stumbled across a medium sized dog named 'Thunder'. I read over his description and personality, and he sounded perfect, so I told my mom about him. Then she told my dad about him, then he called the shelter about the dog. He was coming from a Native Reserve up north, so we were fully aware that he may not be trained. My parents made a meeting with the person in charge of the shelter for this afternoon to see if Thunder would be suited to come home with us, and happily, he was. Here's what he looks like: Apparently, he's a Husky/Collie/German Sheperd blend. He's got the most beautiful eyes and thankfully, he seems to get along with our cat, Marbles, very well ^^

Thanks guys :]. He's behaving very well so far and he seems to be beginning to adjust to our house. He hasn't exactly barked yet, so we have no clue what kind of bark he has XD. We're pretty sure he's housetrained, seeing as he hasn't had an accident inside our house yet :] Shadowcraft~werewolf wrote: Lol, have you thought of a name for him yet? Well, the name he has now is Thunder, but since he's not showing any response to that name, we're thinking of changing it. Some names we have in mind are Tundra and Jason, but we'll just keep trying names until we can find one that fits ;]

Thanks everybody :] Sarabi/Balto wrote: Why not the name Thunder, that's the name the dog has already, and if the former owners want to visit him,it might be a good idea to keep his given name. We'll probably keep the name 'Thunder', but if he doesn't show any signs of response when we call his name, then we'll have to change it ;] Beautifull Disaster wrote: Awww Blake he looks awesome! How old is he? He turned one on Saturday ((the day we adopted him :] ))
