Watching WOC, I found it surprising that Kirby calls Muk and Luk "mentally challenged" and Balto doesn't say a word to back them up.

We all know Muk and Luk aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, but I never would have thought they would be dubbed officially retarded.

What do you think?

And I think he meant 'mentally challenged' as in 'crazy', for he finished the sentance with "..talkin' about a monster! Need I say more?" I really don't think the animators would have a dog calling polar bears retarted XDDD

I'm with Rebel on this one. But really, the term "mentally challenged" is kind of idiotic because it's so relative. For example, let's say you have the two greatest chessmasters in the world playing a game. There is no question that both of them are perfectly intelligent, and yet they are both, quite objectively, "mentally challenged."

Muc,and Luc weren't the sharpest tools in the world,because in Balto 2 they mostly liked playing with Aleu.

I agree that they weren't very smart, but how does playing with Aleu make them dumb?

well, they wouldnt be "retarded" as thats a way we say stupid these days but remember that they are young and naive.

All in all, this wasn't completely a serious topic. Don't feel bad for laughing about it.

I just think it's interesting how the producers of Balto II & III twisted the setting and characters around as if they're the ones who conceived the first installment.
