I think that in the nightmares, the raven is following Balto.

Exactly. But these dreams where important, hadn't he seen them, he wouldn't have found Aleu or Aleu found out who she is. And also, he would have needed more time to figure out about the ice bridge and the deer.

Balto dreams about weird things XP, i think teh craibou part was something that Aleu saw, her eyes went glowy and she had a premonotion, huzzah, along with some crappy 3-d water.
