Animation Source Forums

Ok, this may have been talked about before, and I'm sorry if it has but I rarely visit the suggestion bored.

------------------------------------------

When your in the Shout box there is a list at the bottem of the page showing members online (Which if you want to you can become hidden). And in the fourms there is a sign showing people online.

Now like the "Visitors connected on the site" part, I was thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea if there was a (optional) sign at the top of peoples profiles showing whether they are online/offline.

One of my reasons is that that persons friends may see if there online or not.

It would be optional, (As some members for some reasons don't want people knowing they're online, like on the visitors connected on the site part)

Ok so, I think I'm done,
It isn't 25 inches long explaining every reason, just a simple plan...

So thanks for reading this

It should be possible, I'll add this to the "to do" list.

steet has a LONG to do list so ive heard, if you have certian peoples names under friends you can see if they are on or offline by going to your profile.

I kinda like this idea for the main site... its almost like when your on the forums you can see which of your friends are on, and which are not. :] not a bad idea.

It was added and it helps me see if my friends are online without having to go to the board index!

I only added it recently...
And corrected the way it's displayed. (it wasn't meant to be displayed by a message like that)

Sorry I got confused. I thought you meant online/offline of your friends in User Control Panels. But that comes with phpBB 3.

Oh, didn't notice that...good thing you said that. I didn't notice that there was a "friends" system in phpBB 3. I was going to add a table in the database for this, but it seems I could use that one. I need to see how to do it now.
