Hello again!
I’m not too loud recently, but I hope to change it. I have almost finished story from Balto Universe, but it is still waiting in queue, due to some… e… legal matters. Soon I will write more about it, hopefully also publish some chapters.
But now comes a time to back on Prideland (or Golden Sands…). I’m wondering what You prefer to read in first place: TPR or LLTQ?
TPR – The Previous Round is long planned forth part of my “Great Tetralogy” (if not great due the aesthetic values, surely great due to its length;), consisting also TSH, TGQ and TNR. That is chronologically first story (set between –2 and 2 year on my timeline, where year 1 is the first year of Scar’s reign. All Pridelanders: excuse me my Scar’ocentrism, but in my stories it’s very reasonable) and telling about cubhood, growing of Zira and finally about Golden Pride’s trek to Prideland. More epic stuff, character backgrounds, portrait of Golden Sands kingdom.
LLTQ - Long Live the Queen (working title) – short (100-200 k) novel about Prideland under Vitani’s and Tanabi’s reign. Somehow provoked by Cogotor’s review of ToS, I just imagined all the problems that Vitani as a new queen of PL could have with new, distrustful subjects and very, very biased mother-in-law. More politic stuff, intrigues, portrait of Prideland kingdom.

Writing one – of course – doesn’t mean I cancel the other project. The matter is just time: from October I’m ceasing be just a student… and starting be both student and tutor (doctor studies + practice as an academic teacher), so my time spend on fan-stuff will be most likely limited. So, which one You would like to see as a first?

Oh man, I hate decisions like these. Both 'The Previous Round' and 'Long Live the Queen' sound really good.

I agree with Cogitor's review from 'Trials on Sand' I too had a wonder over what the start of Vitani and Tanabi's reign in the Pridelands would be like especially since Nala is still biased over the whole matter. Geez, talk about someone who can't let go of the past!

As much as I would like to see what Zira's cubhood in the Golden Sands was like, the prospect of seeing Vitani in the start of her reign in the Pridelands just sound a bit more appealing to me. What can I say? I'm a Vitani fan!

But that's my own opinion.
