Reading a Tin Tin book can help me get to sleep!
The Main CharactersTin Tin:Tin Tin is of course the star he is rarely without his little white dog snowy. Tin tin is (supposedly) a reporter but seems to do more detective type work than reporting! He is intelligent, young, and always travelling and fighting crime.
Snowy:Snowy is Tin Tin’s little white dog, Snowy and Tin Tin’s love for each other is mutual, Snowy is (almost) always faithful and by tin tin’s side. However he also adores bones!
Professor Cutber’t Calculus:Calculus, the deaf absent-minded professor and inventor of weird and wonderful gadgets! He always wears green and has a fiery temper but always a good source of humour!
The Thompson’s: Thomson and Thompson, detectives are almost identical (except for their slightly different moustaches). They wear identical clothing and carry identical walking sticks. They are clumsy, narrow minded and dim-witted and like Calculus a good source of humour. Their favourite saying is ‘to be precise”…!
Captain Haddock:Captain haddock is Tin Tin s best (human) friend, a retired sea-captain. He is also good for a laugh wit his often grumpy attitude and sayings-“Ten Thousand thundering typhoons”, or Billions of Blistering Barnacles. He has a heart of gold though and would risk his life for Tin Tin and calls bad guys bad names!
Many of the characters invented by Hergé are based on real people.
