I'm at a loss here. I've got
Fast As A Bullet: Trials and Training Suka's Tail: Scent of the Wolves Golden Scandal Wilted Violet The Dingo’s Roar The Mystery of the Wolf Guidance of the Moon Hotstuff
ALL to finish, and I don't know what order in! Okay, the lowdown on these three.
Fast As A Bullet: Trials and Training is part one of a verrry long series about dog sled racing in 1928, and centers around Bullet and Vesper, two of the red pups from Balto and Jenna's second litter. Their team has gotten into the Championship Golden Collar Season, the best of the best. Bullet's gray friend, Flint, is under ridicule for his wolfish appearance. The leader of the only all-girls sled team, Golden Collar Champion and brown beauty of the town, Elysium, still shows interest in Flint even though she despises any sort of hybrid. Vesper is not happy about it at all. To top it all off, one of their team members is unable to compete for the season, and a black and white malamute, Cobalt, is assigned to fill his place. Bullet takes notice of her but no matter how hard he tries to convey his feelings, he's always interrupted. Cobalt, in the meanwhile, has been assigned a mission from her father and is under watch from her half-brother Negier. Her aunty, Copper, is her only surviving relative on her mothers' side, and doesn't support the plan, but she knows Cobalt will have to do it. To add to the pressure of all, everyone has to train hard for the start of the racing season - the Snowflake Sprint, a long race for the previous intermediates.
Suka's Tail: Scent of the Wolves is the part two of the Suka's Tail series (The Hunter was part one). The red Aleu twin longs to be amongst the wolves, and memory of the wolf pup she once met and played with, Olepi, still lingers in her mind. One night, she smells them. Her human is out so she escapes out of her home. Suka says her goodbyes to Jenna and Balto, Balto less willing to let her go, but eventually he concedes that the day she would leave would come one day. Suka runs off and finally comes to their territory. Assuming they wouldn't move far, she slept in a small valley-like area. Upon awaking, the smell of wolves was thick, and upon getting up she realized she was surrounded by them - and she'd slept in a ditch! The alpha female, Ohoko, is quick to assume that Suka is an intruder, but Ohanzee, the alpha male, stops her from attacking and lets Suka join the pack, warning her that few survive in their harsh world...
Golden Scandal is the story of an agility contest champion dalmatian, Brych, and a golden retriever scaling the ranks of the obedience trials, Nugget. Both girls are owned by the same human. But trouble arises when they start getting too close for comfort for their friends. The news spreads around the neighborhood fast, and the two start being shunned by the community, even judges in their trials start giving them lower scores for their hard work. Brych and Nugget are at their lowest, and must find a way to prove that it’s not wrong to love your best friend… even if you’re both the same gender.
Wilted Violet is a tragic story about Calfuray's (who also appears in Suka's Tail) childhood, about her mother and father, Ista and Taima, and her siblings, Bemossed, Mingan, Kai and Catori. Bemossed and Mingan, being potential future pack leaders, are led out often by their grandmother, Helki, for lessons, and Kai was often either taught by the beta female, Dyami, or tagged along with Helki, despite being taught as if she was male. On this particular day she was out with Helki, and the omega, Abeque, now fairly old and easily tired, fell asleep minding Calfuray and Catori. The two sisters decided to explore while Abeque was in her slumber, ignoring the constant warnings they had received of going out alone. They ended up in a forest with a hunter on their tails and Catori is shot. Ista, Taima, Dyami and Helki rush to their aid, and the hunter aims at Calfuray. Will the sisters survive or will they both fall to the hunter?
The Dingo’s Roar is the story of an Australian dingo collie, Nova, who is shipped away from all of her friends and family to Canada. She is unloaded and discovers she is owned by one of the local zoo workers. Her human takes her to the zoo next day and shows her around, introducing all the animals. The one Nova takes notice of most is Spattay. Nova remembered seeing the tiger in a newspaper back in Australia, and eagerly decides to see if she can get his interest. Every time Nova goes to the zoo; she greets all the animals but then rushes over to the tiger enclosure. However, the other tiger in the enclosure, Felina, is suspicious of this dingo hybrid. She doesn’t want another to grab her potential mate, and keeps an eye on the two, threatening Nova that if she gets too close she’ll get too close to death. One day Nova is allowed to stay with the two tigers, Felina trying to distract Spattay from the young female. Felina isn’t happy with the way the dingo collie acts around the tiger, and decides maybe if she gets Nova’s confidence lower she won’t be able to go near him. Felina throws everything she has to bring down Nova, and it seems to work. Spattay is concerned for his friend, and talks with Felina about her attitude to things. Nothing comes out of it, except Felina’s determination to end the strange friendship. A dingo collie with a tiger? It can’t happen, surely. Nova starts staying away from the tigers, upset with herself and her feelings. The tiger tries to get Nova back on her feet, but will it work? Or will Felina succeed in her attempts? And the rumors of a new tiger… what will happen when he arrives?
The Mystery of the Wolf is a rewrite of Wolf Quest. It'll still involve Aleu and Balto, but with the personalities restructured and some of the character's looks redone. Also, the events and their consequences will be more realistic and explained (face it, Aniu wasn't really explained in WQ, like why she was so 'great' and stuff). Basically it's Wolf Quest with more razzle dazzle realism added in.
Guidance of the Moon is Dingo's story and whatnot. Dingo is now a sled-race dog with his teammates, the leopard husky mix Ayira, a plump short black and brown husky named Toto after the Wizard of Oz character, a grey and black Jämthund named Tyko, a brown husky named Hugo and a sandy husky saluki mixed named Alice. Dingo is having some troubles with his brother, Kodi, as they both like the same girl, Katie, a red brown and cream husky. Both dogs get entered in the Inaugural Nome Dash of Determination, and Dingo gets lost, but is stubborn and refuses to admit they are lost. A black wolf appears to them... a hallucination? A helper? Or a killer?
Hotstuff is the story of Hotstuff, son of Dustpaw's Bailey and Amber. He's a bit of a flirt, tries to impress the ladies, flowers, trying to skate on ice, you name it, he'd try it. One day in the middle of summer a skinny silky grey Newfoundland Labrador cross, Dima, appears in town on a holiday. Hotstuff immediately falls for her and they get together. Hotstuff knows his time is limited, however, as Dima will have to leave for home again. Soon it's time for her to go, but Hotstuff isn't ready to give up on her. He decides to set paw and go after her after learning she lives in Vancouver, Canada. When he does finally get there in the fall, however, Dima is with another gray husky, Raiden, saying to Hotstuff that he knew full well it was only a fling. He despaired, trying to get her attention, and once he did but was beaten badly by Raiden. Thinking he should return home one night, lightning strikes somewhere and Hotstuff runs away from it for a few seconds, but then notices the scent of smoke, and discovers that Dima's house is alight with flames! Will Dima survive and will Hotstuff be able to overcome his fears? Read on!
But, I have notes relating to the stories. Fast As A Bullet is being written already, I don’t know exactly how far I’ve gotten but it is still in progress. Suka’s Tail: Scent of the Wolves has a short bit drafted in my notebook. I know the plotline, however. Golden Scandal may or may not eventually be written in any case, depending on the attention it gets. Wilted Violet will be written eventually anyway. I have a very short version written up that can be expanded and made into a fanfic. Dingo’s Roar, well, not too sure if this will go ahead either, since Spattay actually isn’t my character, he’s my version of one of my friends, therefore I’ll need his permission if I’m gonna write it. It’ll be even tougher to convince him to let it be done as the story’s based on a true story, but we shall see. The Mystery of the Wolf uses the Italian title of Wolf Quest translated to English, and I like it better ;( Guidance of the Moon is awaiting confirmation of some characters' appearance. Hotstuff has no notes but I'm very willing to do this one first.
I was planning to do Fast As A Bullet, then Suka’s Tail, then Dingo’s Roar, next was Wilted Violet and finally Golden Scandal. So, tell me, what order should I do these in?
