I think it is god Idea too-for the reasons you mentioned.

Actually I wanted to ask steet about it, I personally like the idea.
But I also liked the old style from the old phpBB forums.. when the Mods and the forum section mods were green XD
But yeah this would be cool :B

Well, the problem is that the new permission system in the new version of phpBB is very confusing, and it was already hard to find where to make the global mods green. And I forgot where it was. So I guess I'll do it if I stumble upon it one day.

I had a look at the new PHPBB control panel in another forum, and to me it seems much easier to change the skin of the forums. I might be wrong, but that was my impression.

Same 'ere. I found it much easier than the old control panel, much easier for those with less computer programming experience. Although, I also had a bit of trouble figuring out how to change the colours, but I figured it out. -shrug-
