Worlds oldest dog : The oldest dog that has been reliably documented was an Australian cattle-dog named Bluey. He was put to sleep at the age of 29 years and 5 months!

Yep, that's exactly what I've read.
But I don't see what's wrong with the name Bramble, Bluewolf. :)

Ahh, you're probably right! Not the oldest dog ever, but the oldest currently living. That must be what it is. Well, Bramble is one old dog, congratulations to him, that's amazing. ^^

There are?
I haven't heard of any, but could be...if people are living longer, maybe dogs are too?
It's so sad how short their lives are...

Exactly. :( Especially as things always go downhill in old age (I've yet to hear of a dog dying without at least one ailment of old age) and you usually have to make the tough decision to put them down. In fact, I'm facing such a decision now - but the vet thinks my ol' boy should have some months left :D

But think about it - what if a dog lived for, say, 50 years then died? What would become of you?

Yeah...I've experienced that too. :( I hope he's got a good many happy months left ahead.
It's devastating to lose them.

When I looked up 'world's oldest dog' I found a article that said "World's oldest dog is a Vegan dog called Bramble, 27." However, this is false. The most long-lived dog was a outback mutt called Bluey. He died at age 29 in 1939. I think the breed most likly to live to 30 is a another outback mutt. They probably ate scraps or a home-cooked diet, not a overly expensive 'gormet' vegan diet. And no one names their dog 'Bramble'

yes, i have heard of bluey, hes worldwide famous. i believe he was part australian cattle dog.
