Simply put: The Kingdom Hearts series is set for another mobile experience with (the 'oh-so-Japanese title')
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on Sony PSP, Nintendo DS, and mobile phones.
I'm guessing that, like
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories before it,
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be a bridge game for the yet unannounced Kingdom Hearts III, but, from what IGN state, it could end up being a different story line altogether (about Roxas and Axel).
There's no word of a possible release date.
IGN: TGS 2007: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 DaysIGN: Game Profiles: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days--Edit---Turns out that the game will be different on each platform.
The mobile phones title is called
Kingdom Hearts Coded,
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is for DS, and
Kingdom Hearts: Birth of Sleep is for the PSP.
The phone game is about Jiminy Cricket. He finds a page in his journal with the words "We must return to free them from their torment." and can't recall what they mean. Players take control of a Sora born within the pages of Juminy's Journal.
The DS game is about Organization XIII. It will feature a full single player adventure
and multiplayer missions for up to four players.
The PSP game is a prequel to the whole series. It might turn out that the secret Knight's movie at the end of Kingdom Hearts II was actually about a past event...
