Do you thin Steele is intelligent or stupid?

Ok examples:

Steele didn’t realize what Jenna was doing when she mad him burn his bum.

When they got lost he couldn’t led them on without the musher.

He successfully led Balto astray off the trail by scratching trees to confuse him.

So what do you think?

People make the mistake of defining intelligence as an essentially good trait. Steele perfectly shows that this is not the true case. Yes, he was clever. His plan seemed to be foolproof. He was, however, very unwise. As Theodore Roosevelt said, "If you educate a man's mind without educating his morals, you educate a menace to society."

Steele isn't stupid for not being able to go on without the musher. Like Boris said, "A dog cannot make this journey alone." Steele would've had to been intelligent to have made it. He's neither intelligent nor unintelligent.

Intelligent in some points, stupid in other ones. It's mostly clever since he almost manages to defeat Balto and make all the town believe he's an evil dog/wolf, but he makes some mistakes because he's too proud: he doesn't admit that he's lost, he doesn't let Balto help him when he's obiviouly going to die without him etc.

Togo said everything for me. XD

He's neither, that's for sure. Tree marks? His jealousy and pride. Leading without the musher? He probably was too confused or ashamed to decide what to do. Also, he had pressure. Who wouldn't when you have to lead a sled team who's deliverying medicine to a town that depends on you to save the sick children. Not to mention he's trying to impress Jenna. Also, when Jenna tricked him, he probably thought she was hitting on him, and too... into the moment. ^^

The kids didn't put any pressure on them. Remember, he deliberately tried to keep Balto from bringing the medicine back. He never cared about them.

Maybe, but remember that the sled team is there as witness. He could've still recieved pressure from the other sled dogs, seeing that the whole, 'I care about the sick children' thing was a trick. And even if he didn't deliver the medicine, he'd know that Jenna would hate him even more.

I'd still say he's in the middle regardless of the situation. His actions are usually derived from his arrogance, not his intelligence.

Steele is very intelligent.Hes the most intelligent animated canine (erm well Balto was inteligent too) I've heard of. But many dogs in real life aren't intelligent Balto is a movie so yeah all the dogs were intelligent. But other people's opinions may be a bit different from mine!
