...OMG!! A Okami MOVIE? Now that would be something I think to look into. I would check it out for sure, although, I am thinking on how they are going to reduce over 30 hours of gameplay into a 2 hour film. Will it hit the theater? Maybe. Will it distribute to a home near u? Hope so. Still it would be pretty cool to watch.

Btw, for all u Halo fans(if u haven't heard already) there is going to be a movie called Halo Wars in 2009. check it out on you tube.

OMG for reel?! I Hope that they do make an okami movie that would be totally awsome!!

As much as I agree for an Okami movie, I don't have high hopes of it becoming a reality. Reason being is that the article was just about IGN doing a "What if..." In this case: What if IGN ruled Hollywood.

Unless said writers, director, cast, and studio were contacted and agreed to the project, an Okami movie has little light on becoming a true possibility.



It is true that there is a Halo movie said to come out in 2009, but its not called Halo Wars. In fact, Halo Wars isn't a movie at all, but a RTS video game for PC and Xbox 360 that is said to be released in 2009. The clips you see on Youtube are trailers for the video game; clips and trailers for the movie have yet to be released.

I like the idea and dislike it. Okami was a great game and it'd be a great movie, but It could get messed up.

Lori, Amaterasu was originally a human, we've talked about the legend in my Japanese class (while me and half of my class held back laughter since we've played the game).

I personally think that an Okami movie would be amazing, but make it without English voiceactors for the American version. It's a Japanese folktale, not an English fairy tale.

The idea of an Okami movie sounds cool, but I'd kind of prefer if it was made into an anime series, for two reasons (note:the second reason contains a bit of a spoiler, if you count bonus material in the Okami game to be a spoiler):





1)There could be more details of the entire 68 hours (in my case, anyway) of gameplay put into an anime series than into a movie, where the time would probably be only two and a half hours, at most.

2)Upon beating Okami, some of the images in the unlocked image gallery were entitled "Okami Manga," which leads me to believe that an anime series might be a bit more likely, as Dragonball Z is a manga-turned-anime.
