If all text in a post is coloured it makes them hard to read, headings or a few words like headings, names or names are OK. Black or Automatic is best for the main body of the post. Some colours are worse than others.
some examples-which one is easiest to read, and which hardest? (you can vote on 2 questions, on of each.)

Interesting thought Yupik-I never thought about changing colors through the post. But they are worse than any I posted! Thanks.
There is always the option of copy-pasting the text into MS Word or a similar program and changing colors there. it s quite easy to do-I've done it with a Fanfic.

Keep black for most of the text, this is the easiest to read. You will rarely see a book written with anything else but black. You should only use colors if there is a good reason for this (red for very important things, for example) That's not the case in your example, which should have stayed black. It's not art, it's information...

Although, as Steet stated, it's fine to use colours to make an important statement stand out a little more. Posts\texts should stay mainly in black.

I once read a FanFic in bright green, I couldn't read it so I copy-pasted it into MS word and changed the color. (i prefer to handle fanfics this way to those offered on the site)

Sarabi/Balto wrote: I concur with Sheba and Steet, colored text makes easier to identify who's who on the forum, and site. I disagree and agree at the same time. I find it useful to keep your text just black UNLESS in a large roleplay. With my "Sing To Me My Love" roleplay, I had everyone choose a colour for their posts (each one being different). This helped to identify who was who in the roleplay, and it also helped when I decided to document the roleplay - I can tell who is who by simply copy/pasting it directly into a word doc, the colours staying intact. Other reasons to have colour, is to emphasize something - such as important headings or information. Otherwise, black text is best. ;]

I dislike color in posts. Even for RP posts. It's too much bother for me, and annoying.
