I looked thoroughly for a topic like this and found no other,also,I discovered that Balto was named after Samuel Balto while searching under........................ http://en.wikipedia.org

Yep, I believe this to be true

I tried to do a little more research but did not find much more info, unfortunatly. He was apparantly a famous Norwegian before Seppala.
