Which part of the movie did you find most inspirational and/or powerful to you? And why?

How meaningful is it to you?

I think:
When Balto is perched on the bow of his boat looking out at the team riding off without him; I think it is the most emotional part of the movie. The score is also perfect for the situation. Children watching the movie will understand what's going on, but older individuals will, not only be able to understand yet, feel what's going on. This simple scene does a great job of wrapping up such complex emotions into a visual and auditory experience.

When I'm in the mood and I watch this part of the movie, it sends chills up my spine. That's how great I think it is.

Most inspiring scene to me? When Boris says, "What is he doing? He's going to find a dog he doesn't like so he can bring medicine back to a town that doesn't like him!" That pretty much sums up who Balto is.

heritage of the wolf scene no doubt but i also found inspiring boris saying: "More whimpering? Between you and Balto is like Dostoevsky novel around here. Lighten up."

I think Boris' lingo in general is quite amusing. Boshoi and boychik to name a few.

He's very similar to Exile from the Road Rovers. He's constantly spewing Russian words.

Heritage of the wolf scene, no doubt. But for me, another inspiring scene is when Steele tries to stop Balto from taking the medicine, and starts to atttack him. I think that it's amazing that Balto doesn't fight back. It shows that he's not a ferocious animal by nature, and that he knows that violence isn't the way out. I see so many fanarts and fics about Balto and Steele having a big gory showdown, but I feel that it's the last thing that Balto would ever want to do.

Yeah I gotta agree with Canis Lupus, it was pretty decent to have Balto not fight Steele not many films do that. Also even though it may not be inspiring I like the bit right at the end with the Northern Lights forming into the wolf howling into the night...makes you feel all tingely inside :)

Perhaps he just saw the real picture in that scene. Prior to that, Balto snaps at Steele in the furnace scene, as well as bare his teeth in the alley scene.

When Balto sees the coffins the carpenter was making. It was a very moving scene because you can tell the carpenter was used to making toys for children, not coffins for them. Right there Balto realizes how grave the situation is and fully decides to go out and help.

That's the scene that stuck out to me.

When I first saw this... I was in tears. It touched me so deeply... making me feel cold and sening shivers up my spine all of a sudden. And they music and the way Balto whispered 'Rosy...' was so perfect. Showing how caring and selfless Balto was

And of course, Heritage of the Wolf. It teaches people to accept who they are, as it taught Balto this, and he accepts the wolf in him, realising he must use both his wolf and dog side to save the town. I just love it. Dang Amblin did a good job on the scene xD

When Boris says "Not a dog, not a wolf. All knows is what he is not. If only he could see what he is!" That part is pretty inspiring too, in a way.
