so your arts the same?

That's exactly why I don't plan on sending hand drawn art on this site. When it's paint nobody really cares because you can only do simple howls with paint(Well for me at least.) Plus why I don' send in Hand drawn art is because my Uncle won't share his scanner with me D= What a greedy man :lol:

One of my friends got banned due to a misunderstanding. Somebody was viewing her art and said that it looked like it was stolen from another artist. So like anybody would do she said no that she drew it herself. Then a big flame war came and she got banned and her art deleted. And then I went to view the other gallery of the Artist it was "Stolen" from. And the pictures looked nothing alike. Their picture was a character with their pup on a cliff watching the sunset. Hers was a single wolf sitting on a cliff positioned in a different direction looking at the sunset. THAT'S POPULAR TO PUT A WOLF ON A CLIFF WATCHING THE SUNSET.

Given your point, I know this. It is impossible to have one style to yourself, this is a big world.

BUT, since I know what this "rant" is about.

1.) The mods did not "force" Cat Wings to delete her gallery on our own whim (or want). We have recieved many complaints about her COPYING Catwhohas14tails' characters and art. You don't find it odd that they were almost spot on with one another?

Proof, you say?:

Okay, here's how I looks at it. Yes I began to realize that I had turned into a copycat on eway or another. Since then I began to try and develop a style, although none was seen since I drew all this at my own home. but ever since Cat drew the mock of my stlye, I have been determined to find my own. I think i might of found an acceptalbe style. Talk about free country....

There, she admitted she was turning into a copycat. But, if you also read, she is doing what few members do, and changing her style to comply with the site's rules.

2.) Remember my rant about my character "Whispers" and [[LivyLou]]'s character "Drop Dead Gorgeous"? I ranted how, for a week, my pictures of Whispers wouldn't be accepted because she appeared to be copied from [[LivyLou]]'s current fursona. What did I do? Rant. Did it solve anything? No. So, where do you think your rant is going? Same place -- nowhere.

3.) Given, "C.W." was probably inspired by Cat's work. So, why not try and be like her? Trust me, that was a phase, and now that she lost her art, I would assume she is learning and being more original. I respect her for that, and offered her my help.

4.) Since we (the mods) recieved several comlaints (even from CWH14T herself, along with MANY other members) about her art being copied (not stolen) from Cat, we had to do something. Noticing it ourselves, we can't do much but ask them to change their style/characters. But, when people complain, we have to do something about it. So please, do not rant and rave of the unclear (as I said before).

Now, I respect C.W., along with any other artist here, a great deal. I, myself, was reluctant to see her art go. But when she admits she became a copycat, what else are we supposed to do? Allow other members to think that's all right? No, we have to set the consequences clearly.

DO NOT SAY THIS IS FLAMING, BECAUSE I AM IN FACT NOT. BUT, YOU CAN TAKE IT AS YOU WILL. I AM ONE OF ABOUT THREE MODERATORS TO RECIEVE THE COMPLAINTS, AND I SENT C.W. A PM MYSELF. IT IS NOT SOMETHING WE ADORE DOING.

However, C.W. has been in my favorites for a long time now, I am one of the people who didn't want to see her art deleted. But, we gave her more than enough chances, and she didn't take them until it was too late. So, who is to blame?

Sam here. I noticed that Abby's style was Cat's style but, I figured Cat would have spoken up if it bothered her so, I just left it as it was. Cat had the right to complain, that is one hundred percent definite.

Anyway, I'm sure Abby learned her lesson and I'm sure that she will send more art with a more original style. I see nothing wrong with what happened. In fact, I think it would help Abby.

Ahhh, so this is what this rant is about? Just noticed she had deleted her gallery after reading this post.
