I think I've shared a few of my photos on this site before. I'm heavy into photography right now, I've always liked it, but now I'm all about it, since I'm photographing for the football season.
Let me backtrack for a little. I quit football back in August because I just wasn't liking it. The sport wasn't for me and I hated coming to practices, working my butt off, and sitting the bench during the games. This year I darn near went psycho and pummeled this kid during a water break. I made myself quit because I can't be doing something I hate and hurting my own teammates. They begged for me to come back because my work ethic was a role model for the rest of the team, but I continued to refuse. Going onto the field puts me into a nasty mood, I hate every minute of it, and I didn't want to get into another fight that would injure and sideline a teammate. But, I couldn't just walk away from my buddies that I was playing with for 3 years. Sure I hated playing, but I was still good pals with a good number of them. So I became a photographer for the team instead!
The guys were disappointed when I quit. They felt a little better when I decided to be the cameraman, but still missed me. But when the scrimmages were around, they fell in love with my photos. They suddenly forgot, that I quit the team and I became a valuable asset to team morale. When they see photographs of the team making a tackle, running that ball, or catching that pass, they are filled with pride and get a surge of zeal which is needed on the team.
A friend of mine who's in his 40s, works his own private photography service. He sees my photos and sees great potential in me as a pro. Here are a few of some action shots of mine.
