Quote: Sagwa resides in the palace of a Magistrate in China, part of a royal family of cats. She and her siblings, along with various other cats and Fu-Fu the Bat partake in adventures that are usually accompanied by moral lessons, as is typical with most children's shows. However, one aspect that sets this show apart is its display of various aspects of Chinese culture, which helps promote awareness and understanding of other ethnicities.
Has anyone seen this show. Its an excellent show. I am a bit too old to be watching it but I love it. PS:You just have to love Dongwa! XD

I remember this show! I watched all the time when I was little. I loved Dongwa and Fu-Fu XD. I didn't really like Shegwa ((or however you spell it)). I liked the episode where Sagwa got her markings.

Sagwa is a great show. It was technicly after my time as a little kid, but my sisters used to watch a lot (and I would watch it with them sometimes ). It's very cute and it's nice to see a show that teaches kids about Ancient Chinese culture.

Ah, Sagwa . . . how we remember thee . . . *sighs*
My mom & I used to watch this show on PBS whenever it was on. (Note: I'm 21, and my mom . . . well, she's much older than me! XD) My favorite characters were Shegwa and Sagwa, although Dongwa was pretty close on the awesomeness meter. It was educational, yet it taught children lessons about basic values that everyone should learn at a young age while making it interesting and exciting all at the same time. I liked the fact that it took place in China from about a hundred years ago, so it made it a bit fun to learn about how much things have changed in such a long time . . . even though it doesn't feel like it was that long ago.
Great stuff.

Wow, it's been so long since I've even thought of that show. I used to watch it everyday! The one thing I remember about it was that they said to slurp your noodles so that you would live long life. My parents never liked me slurpping my noodles, but I did it anyway.

Awww, I caught Sagwa a couple of times and I thought it was terrific!! The best episode I ever saw was the one where the cats helped this adorable, timid little Chinese Crested Dog who belonged to an Emperor but was being bullied by other dogs, or something like that...anybody remember his name or the episode title or anything? Edit: On nm, I found a description of the episode ("Mutt That Would be King") here: http://www.tv.com/sagwa-the-chinese-sia ... tabs;guideAlong with every other one! I knew I didn't remember it correctly, just the basics.

I'd have liked to see the zodiac episode...I'm really into astrology, and I'm a Rabbit/Cat in the Chinese zodiac. It's so interesting.

Oh the childhood memories. Sagwa and Zoboomafoo were the only things on PBS Kids that I liked when I was little. Everything else was far too dim-witted for even my 6-year-old brain, and I've always felt bad for the kids being raised on stuff like Cailou that, to my memory, had no educational or moral value AT ALL.
