This is the thread for the part of the Weekly Balto where you can ask us questions, and we will answer them. If you're lucky, your question might appear on the next issue of the magazine as well.
So, I hope some mod will sticky this as well, as the Reader's Corner is an essential part of the Magazine.
Ask away!

Sarabi/Balto wrote: Is it possible that Dusty has claws, and she thought that they were useless in the snow? The possibility that Dusty has claws is quite... not there. As dogs can't retract their claws, I just think she was malcreated. Or maybe she's mutated a bit so she can retract her claws. Both possibilities are there.

Dusty saw Balto doing it one day and tried to imitate him. It took her a while, but eventually she mastered it.

What happened after the third movie? Did Balto pass away or go on another journey?

Speculations suggest that Balto could have gone on a longer journey and then returned to Nome about a year prior to his passing. Other speculations suggest he remained at his home for the rest of his life. I don't know if we will ever learn that story.
