I stumbled upon this English-German film website (Dingo pictures) accidently. And boy, I was shocked beyong belief on the amount animated films they've ripped off. Some examples include Bambi (called Goldie), 101 Dalmatians, The Lion King, The Land Before Time and Balto! Very few of their films are actually original.
Here's the link: http://www.dingo-pictures.de/en/index.html

Now it's alright for film companys to do their own version of the story, with a different style or concept. But many of the character designs are just so much like Disney or Universal, as well as the style and concept. Take their 'Balto,' for example: (evidence from Balto World)

This particular Balto has a love interest - Judy, who's role is the same as Jenna's.
There's a race for all the town dogs.
The rival, Komo is very similar to Steele, with black and white markings.
This Balto has a polar bear friend, much like Universal's version.
The story is the same - Balto going out into the wilderness.
The villain falls down a cliff.
There's a close encounter with wolves
And of course, the title is the same.

Of course, there are films here that relate even more to their Disney/Universal counterparts than Balto does - take a look at the Bambi trailer.
Is this plagarism? You decide.

That is text-book plagiarism. The stories are all virtually identical and they claim that they have the ownership rights and they don't give any credit to the original creators. What's worse is that they are selling these movies for profit. The people making these movies are just asking to get sued big time.

But I pity the fool that actually buys these movies. They're complete crap.

Hmm...That looks like plagerism.
There's some slight differences, but the characters look almost identical to the Disney versions (the style is different...that's pretty much it).

It's a bit sad that they have to still other people's ideas, instead of coming up with their own. Also, claiming that it's copyright them (with the obvious Disney likenesses) is, like Gauntlet said, looking for a lawsuit.

Umm...yeah, well, let's not all just jump to conclusions, shall we?

Actually, (according to them) they were already aware of the Universal version, and all the other original movies they supposedly "plagaraized". Seeing how the American version is a little over an hour long, and the Dingo Pictures' one is only about half that, that they obviously only wanted the big points.

...you can call it plagarizing...but they call it "dubbing". It's not exactly stealing -- more like using. Apparently, this is a service act, used primarily to translate an existing movie to another language.

I'm not trying to get at anyone's throats here, but some facts on both sides of the story would help you to better understand what's going on. This is new for me too, you know...

hmm...I wasn't aware of that...perhaps I'll reserch it a bit more...

But wouldn't just making a German dub of Balto be better (as well as more cost effective) then drawing brand new animation and such?

Well, from the short clip I just saw of Dingo Pictures' dub of Balto, it would seem they were already on a low budget as it is...

? Did you really see the same clips as me? Because I've rarely seen so cheap animation...It would make Wolf quest look as a masterpiece.

I'm suprised that they did'nt get sued yet. If I was head of disney I would sue their @$%$ so badly they would shut down their whole company.

That, you would... too bad Disney doesn't own Balto.

Wow that looks horrible! I don't think Universal even has to worry about that. It'll never sell.
