I did my research earlier...guess what I've found in my secrete document collection???
Acording to Balto's eyes...its not yellow. Infact, its brown.
P.S. I've got everything from Baltos.

Biography
and more old papers which are found and discover by some people.
P.S. I'll keep researching for you guys. I've got heeps of paper in my secrete storage room.

Well, yeah. The cartoon Balto was only based off of the real Balto's actions, not his appearance, personality or anything.
Besides, dogs will have yellow eyes only if they can not produce enough eumelanin (black pigment). Liver ("chocolate" dogs), blue (a dark greyish colour) are just some of the dogs that will have yellow eyes. Because Balto was a black and white dog, therefore producing eumelanin, he would have dark brown eyes.
