Poll is the white wolf Aniu? please read post first!

some people don't think the white wolf in B1 was Aniu, they say she looked male, or looked different to Aniu in Wolf Quest

So what do you think?

I believe the white wolf in Balto 1 was Aniu my reasons:
1: Apart from size and shagginess she looked very similar to Aniu in WQ
2: it was winter then so she would have been much shaggier with her winter coat making her appear bigger.
3: Different animators!
4: Phil Weinstein said that Aniu is the White Wolf.

Here is my belief:

The white wolf in B1 was not Aniu, but Aniu was the white wolf.

What I mean by that is, when B1 was made, the animators had no intention for the white wolf to be Balto's mother. However, when B2 was made, the newly introduced "Aniu" was intended to be the original white wolf.

When they made the movie, I don't think they intended that wolf to be Balto's mother. It would've gotten mentioned in the first movie if they did.

I think there the same wolf. Just the second one isn't as well drawn. but then again no one in Balto 2 is well drawn.

Nothing else to add, apart from the fact that we can't be sure that the animators had no intention for the white wolf to be Balto's mother.

I was going to vote yes, but Phil Weinstein said it was Aniu. Now I'm not sure. I don't like Phil Weinstein.

My thoughts exactly. Remember, there was a seven year gap between the first and second movie. That would give the writers plenty of time to add that little detail.

I think that it was Aniu in B1 because of her eyes which seemed similar to B2.
