this is my first rant so please exscuse if i sound harsh but i realy find it annoying when people think they can name the red faced pup and give it a charecter.i mean we might as well take balto and rename him or change his gender.just because universal didnt think a name ect because he wasnt a main charecter i think that we should not try to make him/her our own.him/her is copyrighted to universal whether it has a name gender or personality.!

please do not cause world war three if you disagree! everyone has there own opinion.

yes you can express your opinion here! i sound a bit harsh or mad in my comments its probly cause when written down words can sound different from when you say them out loud

Everyone is titled to their own opinions and I respect that. I agree and disagree.
I agree it is pretty annoying because there is so many that it just isn't original that much.
But I disagree because I made one about a month ago. Why would we do that to Balto though? I'm just saying we're making what we think the pups will be when they are older. And this WILL start a Flame war sooner or later.

Welcome to fandom. It has its annoyances, but you have to remember that they're FAN characters You also have to remember that they probably wouldn't have ANY fan versions of those characters if Universal had made them more useful in the first place (Like giving them NAMES??) So yeah. Who's fault is that?

im just saying thats all... its my own opninion . i know there will not be a balto 4 but if they was and the red faced pup was the main char and had a name and everything then all the fan charecters people made of it would look odd. i know that this is a lame argument and will proberly cause flame wars ,but it dosent need to be.i am making a rant just like everyone else and everyone has there own veiws.... but i dont think a war should start out?

I disagree. I think fan characters are fun. It gives originality and wonder to characters who had a minor role in the movie. Unfortunately for you, fan characters will continue to be created, drawn and written about. I see nothing wrong with giving life to an animated pup that had none before. =P

well, like cat said, it is unesversals fault for given the unamed pups no offical names. none of this would ahve happed if they hadnt given no effort whatsoever into the making of WQ.

sigh...it's annoying when people make rants and don't want people to express they're (often conflicting) oppinions...

Universal barely did anything with the red faced pup, so naturally fans try and fill in the gaps...

i DO want people to expres there opninons ... because whats the point of me expressing mine when no one else can?i just dont want world war one starting thats all but i canrnt agree with everyoe or disagree with everyone.... i just have stook to my opnion thats all..

i agree that universal should have realy made an effort to name all the pups ect,but most movies dont name all pups except 101 dalmations i think?

There's a reason for that, most of those pups are from the petstore and weren't named yet XD All 15 puppies were named, I think, whether the source be from the original animated movie, the "real" movie, or the animated series, you find out the names of the 15 puppies. The ones from the animated movie were:

1) Lucky
2) Patch
3) Rolly
4) Pepper (who was addressed by Pongo in the animated movie during the scene where the puppies are reunited with their parents)
5) Freckles
6) Penny
Maybe one other, but I don't remember.

But my point is, if they can name over 6+ puppies, why can't the folks in Balto 2 name 4 more (considering Kodi's character didn't technically exist until the 3rd movie) So yeah, since they did that, they left it open for us fan people XD

I have to disagree.

Anyone can make up a fan char. The are 3 Balto movies and there will only be three. And in none of them is the red faced puppy or the red and white Alue twins name spoken once. It just wasn't men't to be, so Saba, who spoke once in the 2nd movie was listed in the credits. Dingo's name is mentioned, Alue is the star and Kodi is in the next film.

So, what wrong with making a fan char? Practicly everyone on the site has one?

I know this is off subject but I did know all 15 dalmation puppies at one point... forgot three or four though. But I think its ok to name the two unknown pups. You never know, mabye Universal did that so fans could make up their own stories about the pups or something close to that

Again, would it kill you to use the normal sized font...

yeah i know you disagree with me but you dont have to advertise your opinion in the largest font possible... and no i am not going to say (lets all not create any charecters and be boring) i was just making a point.this is a rant yes but not a biggest font contest
